With the 9th Pick in the 2025 draft, who should the Saints select? (merged) (25 Viewers)

not at all. 30 carries for 104. 3.5 a carry. that’s special in college football? i don’t watch a lot of college because defenses are manhandled
Please go watch him in the game. Dude was breaking 5 tackles before he was getting to the line of scrimmage. Please don’t just go off stats

i watched and he is talented. They forced the last 7 carries just to get him over 100. boise was outmanned period but i have seen plenty of games where a team was manhandled but there star was still excellent. Would i be mad if he was the pick at 9? no but i think we need lineman more on both sides of the ball

I agree but I can’t think of an o or Dlineman that would be worth the pick at that spot if Graham and Carter are gone. Pearce would definitely be worth it but supposedly he’s a bad locker room

agreed. not sure we have a great need at tackle anymore and pearce and mike green have off the field issues. rough draft to have a top 10 pick in

The turd in the punch bowl is Sanders falling out of the top 8…. Every mock I run the BPA ends up being Warren, Jeanty, or Tmac…. Unless Sanders doesn’t get taken. Then it becomes a total crap shoot.

Yeah, I’d we land Graham, Tet, Jeanty, or Warren I’ll be very happy
I would have said 100% that Graham would be gone but him being under 300lbs is something to think about, but I still think he'll be gone. It's possible that T-mac is there but unlikely. If Jeanty goes before us then Warren will more than likely be there. Sanders is the wild card. If Graham, T-mac, Jeanty and Warren are gone that means Sanders has dropped and it may be a great chance to trade down with a QB needy team

I want to go on record as predicting that this first round draft will end up being noted as the one with the fewest trades in recent history
Just cannot see many players worth giving up capital to trade up for

…which is possibly why you WOULD see lots of trades; we are dealing with a smaller pool of first round grades than usual, so some teams may be willing to move up to obtain their guy, a “he was one of lone first round grades remaining on our board” type thing.

Tough thing to predict either way.

Will this drop Graham to us...

I agree about Graham, could maybe fall, same with Tet after no 40, depends on his pro day. If those 4 are gone and someone wants sanders pleaseeeeee trade down, I would love that. I still think we see someone sneak into the top 8 that we’re not expecting, maybe the OT from mizzou

Inquiry.....is Helm or Fannin later in the draft good enough to pass on Warren at 9? Maybe you double up at TE later like Fannin and Lachey or the kid from Oregon.
Considering they met and worked out with:

4 QB, 4 RB, 4 OL, 3 Edge, 2 CB, 2 WR, 1 DL, 1 TE , 1 LB, 1 S at the combine (yes, I know technically it doesn't mean much), it is probably more than likely that a TE will not be selected until late rounds or none at all. A big WR is really what we need over a TE, but even WR is probably on the bottom of their must have list based on the most looked at positions at the combine. We need a lot of other positions than TE and preferably one that isn't going to be another Jimmy Graham situation asking for WR money at TE.
