With the current Injuries, we should temper our Superbowl expectations and just enjoy the rest of the season. (1 Viewer)

We are 10-3. Been a fantastic rollercoaster season. Just like the last two seasons prior, we are being hit with season ending injuries at tail end of our season.

No matter what happens, be grateful and proud of our young men. Only one team can win it all.

The days of us being a 3,4, 5 win team maybe be long behind us, but we should never act like a spoiled fanbase. This year should never be called a waste if we can't win it all. Drew Brees gets to end the year a record holding GOAT. It's been a blast and the team is so young that we got a lot of great years ahead of us.

Let's finish the year off strong and so if we can get the lucky bounce in the playoffs that we've haven't seen since 2009.

"Just enjoy the ride" is always the way I try to manage things out of my control. It's less stressful and usually a lot more fun!

Same here. Just gonna have a good time while it (Brees) lasts. Wont be overly involved and mess with my heart rate and blood pressure during the games. Hope for a miracle run and a Super Bowl, but realistically speaking I don’t anticipate us winning it. I would also loose on my bet in Vegas for saints winning NFC and super bowl though.

I've said it repeatedly. We are fortunate to even be above .500. When Brees got injured, we could have very well lost every game or at least most of them. Yet, we kept on trucking. The refs have been horrendous. I'd dare to say that they have been about as horrendous, if not more, than the injuries we've had. At the end of the day, we're 10-3 and are going to the playoffs. Anything could happen. As for expectations, you're right. It's always a set-up for disappointment when we expect anything, honestly. Let's just enjoy this winning season of football and hope for the best!

What's weird about this season is that it was very fun at the start (I am rarely pleasantly surprised by anything anymore, but going 5-0 w/ Teddy was a pleasant surprise), but has been a lot less fun since the bye.

Even if we lose every game the rest of the way and are one-and-done, I'll always fondly remember being in the Dome for the "Teddy! Teddy! Teddy!" chants vs. Tampa. But it's rough when you realize the window for another title is closing rapidly.

(No, none of the above is meant to say Teddy is a better QB than Drew)

Saw this on Reddit ...forgot about Bobby McCray

There’s not a current injury that the Saints can’t overcome. Shy Tuttle was vastly outplaying Rankins, I hate to lose him, but this season we will be able to replace his production. We will be getting both linebackers back shortly, our offensive line is great even with missing one starter who’s no longer the starter when he comes back most likely. It will hurt losing Davenport and we won’t replace his pass rush this season, but if we can get close to it every goal the Saints had is just as much on the table now as September

We will be fine just like 2009. We might not win it all but it won’t be because of ONE pivotal injury

I agree. The way our defense became, dare I say, dominant during the TB run, made me feel like this was going to be one of the greatest Saints seasons ever.

Laying that egg coming out of the bye, the inconsistencies on defense since the bye, Kamara's change in play and now these injuries have really forced me to reassess my expectations.

It's hard because I want Drew to get another Super Bowl so terribly -- but I realize that it's so hard to win a Super Bowl and so many insane things have to work out just to get there.

Still, I'll hold out hope that something special comes of all of this.
