NFL Draft WR Xavier Restrepo (13 Viewers)

If we don’t get a WR in the 1st round (Tetairoa Mcmillan/Tre Harris), then my top guy would be Jalen Royals. He reminds me of “great value” Ja’Marr Chase and I mean that in the most flattering way possible lol.

Similar size and explosive ability. Royals is a nightmare for defenders to tackle once he has the ball in his hands. Reportedly has 4.30 speed and it shows up on film. He’s also powerfully built and has great contact balance for a receiver.

Yes, another highly regarded WR. I like him a lot. Wonder if he’s still a sleeper after the combine?

I like him a lot but I really want a big giant X receiver that has sure hands and can catch 50/50 balls.
We need both, and we definitely need a TE that can dominate those inside routes. We have missed so many yards in the middle of the field since Marques Colston and Jimmy Graham, Lance Moore.

Guessing he puts on a great performance at the combine. If I had to bet, I'm guessing when all is said and done, pick #40 would need to be used to get him as I doubt he makes it to us in round 3.

I like him... But the one thing we do have already is guys capable of working that Slot-Type WR role... Olave, Shaheed, Means, and Pettis can all work well in that role (Even AK can do it well)... What we severally lack is a Big X and Multi role TE that can work outside and inside on contested catches in schematic mismatch situations.

We don't need anymore 5' 10" Buck-Eighty WRs at this time...

Like Ladd McConkey?😕

Like Ladd McConkey?😕

Ladd is a Slot WR like Cooper Kupp is a Slot WR.... Which is to say... While they have Slot WR traits... They do not play like a Slot WR... Which is rare...

They are both #1 WRs - in Slot WRs clothing...

Restrepo is strictly a classic Slot guy... And I like his game... But if we draft any pass catchers this year... They need to be 6' 3" or better and be able to dunk and rebound at the NBA level... Guys with skills like TMac and Warren... That can complement the little jitter bugs we already have... and allow Shaheed, AK, and Olave to play that slot role like Restrepo played at the U.

I'd be all about a receiver in the draft -- in the second round or with one of their third-round picks, that is. I'm still all about the trenches at No. 9 in the first. O- or D-line, doesn't matter. We're thin and bad up front on both sides of the ball.

Looks like Restrepo is likely to get hyped all the way up to the first round, plus Royals and Harris are coming off injuries. Makes for some interesting decisions come rounds 2 and 3.

I really like Jayden Higgins. He reminds me of Rashaad Bateman but healthier, bigger and faster. I know a lot of LSU fans love Kyren Lacy, but I don't think he's going to have a promising NFL career compared to previous LSU WR's. I don't think he can be a #1 at the NFL level.

Not disagreeing about a big X, we definitely need one. Just want to stop seeing the middle of the field wide open. Olave is a question mark with the concussions and Shaheed is not an over the middle guy, we need a lot of help!!

Neither is a contested catch guy or can make a living on the outside 100%... They will get snaps there for sure in the form of clear outs, go balls, and double moves... But neither is a true X....

Like I said... we have a few options to work the Slot role.... What we in desperate need of... is a couple of Basketball guys that can complement them by drawing coverage to the boundary by being true contested catch mismatches...

If he performs well at the combine he probably shoots up in the draft. I think the only really question with him is if he has the quickness/speed to get separation on the NFL.

I also like that he is 5'10" and around 200 Lbs. Seems to have the build to be able to take the pounding in the NFL.

Restrepo is listed at 197 Lbs. He's not a featherweight like Olave and Shaheed. But I guess we'll see what he weighs at the Combine and what he lifts.

Why not both? :idunno:

As you may have mentioned once or twice, this team just needs playmakers all over the field.

Not many LSU fans love Kyren Lacy. He has lots of talent but failed to do much with it. He was a pretty major disappointment to LSU fans and I doubt any expect him to be a #1 WR in the NFl. I'd guess he's around a 4th round pick and ends up sticking around as a 3rd or 4th WR.

I don't think that will be an issue. He reportedly has been timed as fast as 4.30 in the 40. It also shows up on film when watching him play. He consistently runs by defenders and has shown quite a bit of separation in and out of his breaks on film.

I've seen him listed at 6' 205lbs on pretty much every site. Obviously sometimes players come in smaller than expected at the combine though, so should be verified soon. Still will be plenty stout to play in the NFL at that size. Pretty much identical to Ja'Marr Chase's listed size coming into the NFL.
