This is the guy who helped made Cam Ward successful. Slot receiver with some of the best hands I’ve seen. Guy is going to be a player. All-American. Wish we would draft him and Jayden Higgins from Iowa State, then if Olave can’t come back we’re still set. Draft simulators are all over on where Restrepo will go.

Sounds kind of like Pearsall last year, where he started the process mocked in the 3rd or 4th round. After Senior Bowl week, he was a 2nd rounder. And by draft day he was a 1st.

If we don’t get a WR in the 1st round (Tetairoa Mcmillan/Tre Harris), then my top guy would be Jalen Royals. He reminds me of “great value” Ja’Marr Chase and I mean that in the most flattering way possible lol.

Similar size and explosive ability. Royals is a nightmare for defenders to tackle once he has the ball in his hands. Reportedly has 4.30 speed and it shows up on film. He’s also powerfully built and has great contact balance for a receiver.

Royals season ended in late October with a foot injury and may drop to the 2nd or 3rd round due to that. Great talent, but I am very leery at this point of the Saints drafting guys with injury histories. A history of durability needs to be a requirement for at least the next few drafts, IMO.

I like Restrepo a lot, lot, lot! - ®Rodney Carrington

Maybe a good pick up in mid to late rounds. Higgins from iowa state is the type receiver we lack. Big and physical. Types like him are who we need to focus on.

I take Restrepo in every mock draft I do. Solid. I've watched him play many times. Would be a good pick up in the draft

Correct he’s likely a day 2 prospect. With his production last year and this year however I think there’s a chance he could sneak into the end of round 1 if he blows up at the combine.

While I get wanting guys to be healthy with how the last few seasons have gone, I also want guys to be talented. There definitely is a balance that needs to be had. To my knowledge that foot injury was the only injury he had in college and not enough to sway me from wanting to draft him. Any player can have a 1 off injury, and I don’t think the foot injury is likely to have any long term effects or additional risk of reinjury.
