My only issue with the season finale is that it seemed like Jimmy became a cowboy in less than two months at the Four Sixes ranch, when they made it out to be a really tough place. Oh and he gets a hotty while he is there.

My biggest beef this season was the amount of airtime that was spent devoted to 1883 and the 6666's... yeah, I get that they were promoting the spinoffs, but a few episodes of Yellowstone were basically 20 min total of Yellowstone stuff...

I didn’t realize they were making a show about the Four Sixes, than that explains a lot. You are right this season was to setup the spin offs than, when you include that story line. So basically they wrapped last season’s story line up and promoted spin offs. Oh and Casey is the new “Dances with Wolves”.

I really enjoyed 1883 more than I thought I would. I read online that this is most likely a one season and done show, so the finale wrapped everything up very well...

it moved very slow. but given its horse and buggy and setting up for future things, makes sense.

guess 1932 will take 1883's place and see the next generation of duttons?

1883 was basically a longer movie about how he Duttons came to find themselves at Yellowstone. I think any future "prequel" shows will be very similar in that regard. He's going to tell a story about key points in Yellowstone history.
 
Going to miss Isabel May if this was one and done.
 
Season five of Yellowstone kicked off last night with two-hour episode.
