Your all-time starting five in basketball (4 Viewers)

I'm disappointed I see no Karl Malone. As a man, he was pretty lame. But he is the hands-down, most talented power forward of all-time.

And what about the ole Round Mound of Rebound. Charles Barkley might be the greatest rebounding power forward ever. Not too mention he could put the ball in the hoop.

Anybody who will list Dennis Rodman over Malone or Charles Barkley needs to have their head checked. Their is absolutely nothing Rodman could do that Malone and Barkley couldn't. Duncan is the only other power forward to come close.

Also, y'all are leaving out:
Jerry West
John Stockton
Julius Erving (understandable cuz he played the 2)

Karl Malone ---CHOKER---and Tim Duncan or Kevin McHale are the best power forwards of all time---McHale had about 7 great moves...

PG - Chris Paul
SG - Oscar Robertson
SF - Larry Bird
PF - Tim Duncan
C - Bill Russell

pistol pete
jordan
reggie miller (even though i HATE him b/c i was a big knicks fan at the time)
shaq
rodman

going 3 guards - you're not going to outscore this team

SG-Kobe(Jordan is far better but, Kobe doesn't need the ball in his hand as much and with this line up no one guy can have it in his hand too much)

Equals automatic fail. Jordan made everyone around him better. I have no idea where you got this idea from it's totally wrong. I've never scene one player decide the tempo of a basketball game by himself like Jordan did. He controlled the court, dictated the game plan, and could take the game over WHENEVER he wanted. Oh and during the nineties he made average players: BJ Armstrong, Judd Bueschler, Steve Kerr, Horace Grant, etc., etc household names. He made them seem like A-list players, before they joined other teams and quickly fell back to earth. Are. you. kidding. me?

He was the most talented power forward of all-time but as great as he was he should have been completely dominant. He wasn't close to that. Charles Barkley is in the same league as Karl Malone and there is no good reason for that. If Charles Barkley had Karl Malone's body, he would have been the best player of all time.

PG: Magic Johnson
SG: Michael Jordan
SF: Charles Barkley
PF: Kevin Garnett
C: Bill Russell

Offense: Check
Defense: Are you kidding me? No one is scoring against this 5.

Choker huh?

If Michael Jordan would have never existed, Karl Malone would have, at very least, 2 rings on his finger.

How can Bird not be on your list? He was the most clutch player in the history of the game.

bc lebron james outweights him by 40lb, and on defense I'm much more worried about larry legend guarding lbj than vice versa. to be certain, he is probably the 6th or 7th guy on my list but i think lebron edges him barely. we've seen what Larry Bird did on a team full of hall of famers, I think that it would be nice to let Lebron have a chance.

Oh and also because this is ther list of the top 5 PER (player effiency) seasons ever:
1. Michael Jordan 31.89
2. Michael Jordan 31.79
3. Lebron James 31.69
4. Michael Jordan 31.31
5. Michael Jordan 31.29

I can roll with that.

I'm baffled that Rodman is getting mentioned on this list. How about Moses Malone, he could rebound like Rodman and wasn't limited to just that one thing. All Rodman could do was rebound and get loose balls. Hell, I can get loose balls.

Good hair? :idunno:

Probably true, but "the mailman doesn't deliver on Sunday." I wonder if anyone else remembers that.

pg - Magic Johnson
sg - Michael Jordan
sf - Larry Bird
pf - Tim Duncan
c - Shaquille O'Neal

bench:

Oscar Robertson
LeBron James
John Stockton
Karl Malone
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar
Kobe Bryant
Reggie Miller (doesn't belong with the rest, but it's nice to have one of the greatest three point shooters and clutch players of all time)
