You make a valid point, but, I don't know... something about "buddy movies" ( Sideways, Wedding Crashers, Bottle Rocket, albeit, these are more comedic than Birdy)... I always go back for more.

I doubt Raising AZ, Star Wars (any) or OJW would be anywhere close to be honest.

Any list that doesn't have Shawshank or Goodfella's on it is probably mostly incorrect. Those are the two you find on cable the most at any rate. The problem with the ones you mention above are that they don't have wide enough audiences. Sure some people watch 100 times but its still too much of a subset when you want to talk about all films.
