I'm just hoping for new MP maps, different perks (******** juggernoob) and different weapons. In that order.

why can't they just give you that for the first one and charge you a few bucks???

I pretty much agree with this.... Battlefield 4 life!!! (which, btw, has new maps and weapons becoming available as DLC in June for 1200MS points instead of $60)

Wouldn't that make Killzone/Gears in that category as well??

I mean, the way I see it... the keep the same basic concept of what was successful and make necessary tweaks and add more content/maps/whatever.

Madden, on the other hand, typically does this but still sucks lol

kz and gears had years between their sequels....COD has a new game every year....sure, they just swap from WWII to modern conflicts, but they are exactly the same games

At least they're made by two different divisions lol

But aside from that, I agree. They are basically the "same" game.

kz and gears had years between their sequels....COD has a new game every year....sure, they just swap from WWII to modern conflicts, but they are exactly the same games

they aren't getting 60 bones a year from me...

Killzone had like 4 years inbetween. Gears only had 2.

Also Each year a different company makes the games. Infinity Ward, the makers of the MW series make the better series imo. They are about to get aw3ay from COD and just name them Modern Warfare (can't remember where i read this).

i guess my point was that the themes and the lack of in depth, original stories is what turns me off the most about the COD series

they are fun games...in fact, i have been enjoying the heck out of COD WOW for two days now, courtesy of gamefly...they just lack something that gears and KZ have...originality

I'd drop 10 bucks for new maps and perks. I do agree that the CoD series is the Madden of FPS.

Oh sure they do, they're based on actual events (for the most part) Chainsawing Locusts is pretty original to shooting Vietcong with bayonets.

no sarcasm really. it's really a loose statement to make comparing the originality of Gears and COD. While the games are rehashed per say, the online is what makes the games successful, just like gears. and there's a game each year because there's 2 production companies. If there was one there would be a new game every 2 years.

I am looking forward to both the release of COD Modern Warfare 2 and Ghostbusters. The previews of Ghostbusters look really cool.
