kz and gears had years between their sequels....COD has a new game every year....sure, they just swap from WWII to modern conflicts, but they are exactly the same games

they aren't getting 60 bones a year from me...

You don't seem to know that the people who made World at War are not the same people who made either Modern Warfare.

There's been two years between this game and the last one. Just like between Gears 1 & 2.

i actually did know that

my point was that the games are very similar....they are just set in different times

Most sequels are very similar to the game before it. Unless the sequel bridges across to next gen, not many if any are completely new.

i dunno, when i played COD MW and WAW i just didn't feel like i was playing anything "new"....the storylines are not original and barely existent...no real characters in the game.....i am not saying this a bad thing, i just like to see originality in a story....like gears, KZ, infamous, etc.....even, halo

i realize the big draw to the COD games is multiplayer....but i do like a good single player experiences and i don't think the CODs offer that

FWIW, i will check out MW2...and you never know, i might like it

I agree with your assessment. I thought it was great and the multiplayer still entertains after a couple of years of gameplay. I got bored of WAW after several months and returned to MW. I tried Rainbow Six Vegas 2 recently and kept comparing it to COD4. There is no comparison. I look forward to the release of MW2 and little else this year.

That's just because you've never played KZ2.

Seriously, I though the COD: MW story was okay but not great. The story built a bit up to the end, but the actual end seemed a little anti-climatic. Anyway, I though the story for Battlefield: Bad Company was much better and much more unique.
