The Saints fear Saints CB Delvin Breaux has a broken fibula, according to a source. (1 Viewer)

LF7 is so amazingly awesome that he single handedly defeated Wisconsin before half time even began two weeks ago.

It's not just scoring 35ish but the way we score them. Up by 11 and we are running the ball and the clock. We then feel the need to throw deep or miss a first down on short passes while stopping the clock on incompletions. We are missing key elements of overall game management, like time outs, red zone efficiency, special team effectiveness, field position, etc. All we seem to be effective at is padding stats and sacrificing wins. This team needs some serious inner reflection. If we are in rebuild mode let's just call it that and move ahead.

This is the sad truth. But I mean, no unit is ever TOTALLY perfect. But ours has the bad tendency to either have painfully slow starts, stall at the most inopportune times, or literally give the other team the points. It needs a defense that can hold at key moments.

Do we have 100% confirmation that the injury is a fractured fibula?

He is very important to our defense, he is one of the brightest spot on defense.
We got him without draft, i hope the saints can do the same defensively again.
We definitely need help on defense.

Next week we face OBJ and Victor Cruz was actually looking good this week as well. The next week we've got Julio. Then, with Keenan Allen out, we get a break against he chargers before we're looking at Kelvin Benjamin, who is back to form.

Breaux was essentially a shut-down corner that took these guys out so that we just had to worry about the #2 and #3 guys. I'm afraid that these #1 Receivers are going to eat our rookie corners for breakfast. I like our young guys and think they have a good future here, but these are the guys that QBs pick on when your starter goes down for a drive or two. Now, now only are they are starters but we don't have any depth behind them.

There's no way that ANY team can plan for losing their top 4 CBs before the season starts so I'm curious to see how they handle this. I see Finnegan definitely coming back. Lewis will likely get a call and a physical.

Byrd is going to earn his money next week playing over the top.

The real question is do we draft a QB for the future or a pass rusher with our top 5 pick?

I have a hard time seeing Lewis come back simply because of his health. If he was truly ready to play someone would've signed him by now.

Absolutely wonderful! Yesterday started off outstanding!! The team looked great in the first half. Cooks, Snead, and Thomas were making plays left & right. The offensive line looked elite. Andrus Peat looked the best I've seen from him. Old man Jahri looked good as well. Our new kicker made his field goal and was looking good. The running game then started to pick up with some nice holes. Come halftime I thought we had this game in the bag.

Second half looked great as well. We hold them to like 3 points in the 3rd quarter. Then after Lutz missed his 50 yarder it seemed we went to hell in a hand basket. Drew does this crazy run on 3rd & goal to set up a field goal. Then the sorry defense lets some back I've never heard of run it like 70 yards for a score. That play was likely the biggest screw up of the day. That was a back breaker. Then Breaux gets nicked up, not sure when exactly. Then we bring him back on the field and he gets hurt even worse. I swear when someone gets hurt on this team and comes back in, it seems they get hurt even worse. We should just bench players that have to come out of the game for more than 3 plays from now on. Cause when a player plays a little hurt, they put themselves at greater risk to get a more serious injury.

Then the pass rush fails us and Crawley gets burnt left & right by Crabtree. Wish they would of put Harris on him and had Crawley in the slot. I hate that since Harris practiced and played in the slot all game, they don't want to move him outside when he's a far better corner! That ****** me off to no end! So then on 4th down, Craig Robertson gets called for pass interference on a pass that was UNCATCHABLE!! I didn't really see any interference, so I guess it was for face guarding?? Terrible call that cost us the game. Then they freaking go for 2, since we STILL have Crawley on Crabtree. They get it like taking candy from a baby. Then we somehow get in field goal range. I think Drew may have cost us a second or 2 trying to hurry up and snap it, instead of spiking the damn ball immediately. I could be wrong. Then if we hit that last play to the sideline to get an extra yard, I think we are in better shape cause Lutz missed that kick by a yard it seemed. But oh well.

AND NOW TO PUT A CHERRY ON TOP OF A BAD DAY, OUR 2ND BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYER MAY HAVE A BROKEN LEG!!! We must of sold our soul to the devil to win that ring in 09, cause we sure our snake bit!!!
