N/S Myles Garrett claims Mason Rudolph used a racial slur against him (1 Viewer)

I just find it hard to believe Mason says something like that when a lot of the players are mic'd up and nothing was brought up until 4 days after the fact.

I'm sure the people responsible for evaluating the incident listened to the available audio. The NFL does also have access to those sideline mics that can pick up sounds on the field. I imagine those would catch stuff that was said as well.

Garrett should have just let his lawyers do the talking and not comment further on it, but the damage is done now.

Burned the evidence? I would not put it past the NFL. Remember they had no knowledge of Kareem Hunt or Ray Rice video. If there is audio of this kid screaming racist things the TMZ crew will get there hands on it eventually.
The NFL was wanting to protect their superstars in those situations. Who is the superstar in this situation - Pro Bowler & former first overall draft pick, Myles Garrett...or Mason Rudolph?
Four days late in making the allegation, no one on the field heard Rudolph say it, this is the first Garrett's teammates are hearing of the accusation, and the NFL looked into it and found no evidence of a racial slur being uttered...and rather than think that Garrett is lying, you think the NFL is covering for Rudolph by burning the evidence?

When you put it like that, no way in hell. Lol.

And people like you are the problem in America again he’s defending himself against someone charging him . Overboard yes but Ig he did indeed say that while grabbing Garrett facemask it is what it is

soooo... A 280 pound defensive end was “defending himself” against a 210 pound, helmetless QB charging at him. ???

and you think other people are what’s wrong with society. I usually refrain from being critical on the board but this may be one of the most asinine things I’ve read in a while.

size has anything to do with what? I’ve seen 300 lb men knocked out by someone 180 your point is and I never said what he did was right did I?

4 days later?

“4 days later” is due to the fact the info came out 4 days later. Not that Garrett decided to wait 4 days. He told his coaches on the side line after the fight what he thought he heard from Mason. The info leaked 4 days later. Do some actual research and you could have figured that out.

How was Randolph the CLEAR instigator? Were you there, to see if his hand was CLEARLY not acidentally caught in the helmet of Garrett, after the play? What do you know, others may not know, because they were not there? What did Randolph actually say? DO YOU KNOW?

So many assumptions, without facts.
Who is this "Randolph" guy everyone keeps talking about?

If you're going to try to defend someone, at least get the guy's name right so you at least appear to know what you're talking about.

And Maurice Pouncey’s suspension reduced from 3 games, to 2 games.

Like I said. Let the chips play.
It's "Maurkice" and "Let the chips fall where they may."
:covri:

What a blunder. The thing about it is that I doubt that the helmet issue would have hurt Garrett’s reputation long term. Yeah...it was dangerous but it was also in the heat of the moment and Rudolph was being a punk by trying to get back in his face after the incident. He would have played out his suspension and honestly...nobody would have cared. But this is going to leave a lasting impression on people. This country has serious race issues and we don’t need events like this to fan the flames. It’s not in the best interest of anyone.
