I went and checked the Saints roster. We have 77 slots accounted for including today's draftees. We have commitments from 12 UDFAs now. That gets our roster to 89 leaving room for one more UDFA unless we cut somebody.

I'm not sure how you arrived at 77; I've got 74. Some of the information on the Saints' site is inaccurate. 74 + 12 = 86.

That's my number also, gotta figure at least 1 of the remaining spots go to a vet QB.

Jumper and Carr aren't on the team. I counted Hill.

Thanks usually there are 10 names I know at the end of drafts but this year I had nothing lol. Was it a strong class? The experts were saying how important it was going to be cause some guys would slip through the cracks due to the lack of information

You know what is amazing that Josh Hill was an undrafted free agent in 2013 and is still on the team. He has outlasted most players since his rookie year.

Did you honestly know what the Saints had in Harris, Thomas or Tuttle when they signed them though?

I def like what I have read about Joe Bachie. Might have something with him, a position we could use depth at.

I agree. I'm not sure how he went undrafted. He and Baun have great instincts and get there real quickly once they diagnose the play.

Well never a guarantee he is going to make the team anyway. Every year I figure someone will come in and make him expendable. But he has shown how resilent he is. Very good player for us, mostly for his blocking skills. But it would be nice to have him or our new tight end to have a little bit more production in the receiving stats. Cooks has done a good job. Hope we can add another.

Just show something in training camp and preseason games... They will have a chance

Usually we have a handful of tryout players, but I guess given the situation, those guys are going to get left out.

I love the undrafted pickups, I really think Roach & Joe Bachie make the team. I think Bachie is a great pickup and might play meaningful minutes at some point.
