With the schedule release, tomorrow night has there been any announcement of the number of fans allowed at games this year? I would think they should go back to normal and allow full attendance. I have not heard anything as of yet. I am guessing the announcement will be made later.

Saints at Buc won’t be a meh matchup.

We are obviously bias. Does the rest of the country want to see a game between the Bucs and a team that doesn't have a clear cut starting QB? I think we are taking that for granted because we're Saints fans. However, the national appetite for Saints games is lower now than it has been in 15 years.

It still hasn't really hit us that Drew Brees is retired. That reality check comes in the form of the schedule release. I'll be surprise if we have 2 nationally broadcasted games.

We'll find out soon enough, but I think your assessment is incorrect. Saints are still a national draw and the networks know it.

Being in Atlanta, I hope I am. I think Buffalo, Jacksonville, Arizona, and Tampa end up with more. Some teams will have to end up with less. I'm not optimistic of our chances of having more than 2.

I think we get 3. We won't go back to the pre-Payton days of not even getting a Monday night game some years, but our days of 5+ are over until we get another top quarterback.

while the saints draw has been fueled by Drew + winning (and a bit of bountygate and assorted baked in dramas), we have been enough of a national fixture that we've probably seeped into national consciousness
and then, of course AK (in particular) and MT are top tier draws
and certainly 'life without drew' is an easy narrative to push

Unless some new vaccines resistant variant comes along and screws it all up, I think we should be good to go full bore by opening day. Just look at the numbers. In my novice eye, things sure look pretty good compared to what it was. I'm sure some people will always get sick, they always do regardless of a pandemic. But If they play with the attendance numbers, I seriously doubt it will be because of public heath concerns.

Agree....1pm here
Personally I hate the 4:15/4:25 pm start
Last yr we only had 4 1pm starts

As an out of town season ticket holder, later is better for home games. Noon means I have to set my alarm for 4am, force myself to stop watching college football so I can go to bed early, and maybe barely make it to the game on time.
