Young couple goes on van tour of US, boy comes back with van - no girl (2 Viewers)

Assuming he's smart enough to spoof.

But, in any case, she did have her phone on her at some point, and did talk to her mom. They can ping that phone.
I don’t think she was alive outside of Utah, the Tetons have really good cell reception. Surely she would have posted something on social media or contacted a family member, just the sheer amazement of your first glimpse of the Teton Mountains is worth a text to someone.

Cash and a prepaid burner using a VPN is all it would take.

Okay so you're going grand plan.

Did you see the LE cam footage from the domestic call at Arches? She seemed manic. Things were messy. I don't think these are strategic con elements they're pulling off - but it would be a crazy movie script.

Sort of like this crazy business in South Carolina, which is just like a movie.

Mostly Phoenix area, but also up to the mountains around Payson. We were supposed to drive to the Grand Canyon, but one of the kids had an ear infection that got worse as were were driving north..... Made it to freaking flagstaff. I'm actually still salty about this.

We ended up driving south to Sedona to catch the sunset. Very pretty. I liked that spot. There was some canyon I drove down north of there, I think. Like a hairpin turn.

Also spent a day at Lake Roosevelt. That was ok. I just miss Green stuff. All that brown rock and hot dry weather..
I get the "everything is brown" thing. It takes getting used to, and CO has plenty of brown as well. I guess you have to appreciate it for what it is and being something different from what you're used to - especially being from Florida.

I do think you missed out on the most scenic parts of AZ. Sedona and Flagstaff are both very nice, IMO, but it sounds like you didn't spend much time in either, and, like I said, northern AZ is where the truly spectacular scenery is.

There is a HUGE difference in the desert you see around Phoenix versus northern AZ and southern UT.

Yeah, honestly the girl on that video cam didn't seem capable of calming her brain down enough for a grand plan. She seemed pretty neurotic.

Yeah, we need a whole nother thread for that S. Carolina thing.

I'm From Michigan. I'm currently In Florida.

We did Sedona for that evening, ate dinner there. That was it. Flagstaff was very short. We pretty much just stopped and turned around. I realized we'd barely get to the GC before Sunset at that point.

Usually we go to visit the wife's family, they're all in Glendale.

I wouldn't choose Utah for golf, or even skiing. But Utah is fantastic for:

Hiking
Rock climbing
Mountain biking
Dirt biking
4 wheeling (ATV's or 4x4's)
House-boating (Lake Powell)

Or, just generally amazing high desert scenery. And if you're into canyoneering, what Utah has to offer cannot be matched anywhere in the world.

Yeah, the mountain biking looks epic there! I was tempted to ride, but had other things on my mind. Did ride Aspen downhill, which was incredible. Taking an off road Polaris at Moab and Utah seems like a dream.

I watched a couple videos on Moab and Teton National Park, absolutely stunning. Aspen stole my heart though, really afraid if I go back, I will have to stay.

After watching the Teton National Park video, I definitely want to move to the country soon. The city life is for the birds, done with it. Can't wait to split. Is it o.k. to want to go country after living in the city your whole life?

I hear that it's good for dumping bodies too.

I haven't been to Michigan, but I'm guessing it's about as different from AZ as FL is. And, Glendale is by Phoenix, right? So most of your time has been in south AZ in the Phoenix area.

I'm just telling you, visit Grand Canyon NP in northern AZ or any of the 5 parks in southern UT - then let me know what you think.

You may be joking, but Utah can be as desolate as it is beautiful. You can definitely get away from people if you want - far, far away. There's a reason Aaron Ralston had to cut his own arm off to avoid dying before anyone would be able to find and rescue him.

I'm going to go with population density and distance from highly trafficked areas.

Yeah, that's far less morbid that the metrics I was thinking of. Probably equally as predictive.
