Time to start Book (1 Viewer)

Look, when you are arguing about who is best at QB2, you are always going to be looking at a tough season.

Right now, I believe TH7 gives us our best chance to win. Especially with this beat up O-line.

I am not sure I believe that Seimien is as bad as this O-line made him look, but I am fairly confident that the O-line would make Book look awful.

This isn't a "Taysom against the world" post - it is a "Taysom against our situation" post. There is just not a better option right now.

Devils advocate here, the only way you can say Taysom gives us a better chance of winning is with his legs. Is it worth running him into the ground to maybe scape out a few wins?

That's a whole other ball of wax.

If you are playing to win, I think Tayson gives us the chance.

If you are thinking about the future? Well, that isn't playing to win, but perhaps you make some other decisions then. Maybe developing Book?

Agree. So it's time to see what we have. We have no salary cap to make a big QB signing in the off-season. Should we wait until next season to see what Book has?
You won't see what you got in a rookie QB in doomed to fail situation.

I was pulling for Hill tonight. But let's face it... He is a turnover machine.
I would have liked to see him play not trying to overcome a 10 pt deficite with 5 minutes left. This, in my opinion, makes any assessment difficult.

Also, remember he had a bum finger and was in his first game as starting QB this season, and first game active in weeks.

Maybe the guy is an awful QB? I don't think he is a QB1, but I can't call him awful after how much he tried tonight.

Season was over the second Winston went down.
Took the words right out of my mouth.

There's a reason that Hill, Seimian and Book are backup quarterbacks. Like is usually the case, your season goes only as far as your starting QB can take you.

I want to see him play as well, but that offensive line only has two starters out there and it's not the way you want to introduce your rookie QB to the league, they would tee off on him blitzing early and often taking advantage of that makeshift line.

Unless he's some hidden gem...but this is NOT the ideal time to find out. What time is there?

I think Payton is gonna wait for players to get healthy and trust Hill some more.
Got to wait for the offense to get healthy 1st and foremost.

But next week Armstead and Ram may be back.

46.3% completion rate.
44.2 QB rating.
FOUR interceptions.

TH7 is not the answer.

Putting the rookie qb in now would shatter any little confidence he may have right now.
