Not forcing people who know they'd be horrible parents to become parents for one
So is there no forms of birth control available? I know this will gets some responses but I am legitimately being serious here. Planned Parenthood has stated on many occasions that. Abortions are a small percentage of what they do. Isn’t birth control one of those options. I am one of those people that don’t believe in abortion after a child has a heartbeat unless the mother will die in child birth or defects.

Birth control can be used incorrectly or fail. But consider this, if you're talking about people who shouldn't become parents, those who don't want kids but didn't take precautions to avoid having them should be right there at the top of the list.

Obviously a different subject for a different board.

I'm talking specifically about people who shouldn't be parents, but choose to be.

what's the test to determine parenthood worthiness??

That's an incomplete way of looking at those kinds of buying decisions. I'm less motivated by ideologically compatible business initiatives, though I can appreciate those, than I am conflicting business initiatives. I will avoid businesses, when it's possible, that openly support ideas and campaigns that are in conflict with my values. Sometimes those are larger companies, but often, and generally easier to assess, are when it involves smaller businesses. Social media engagement often reveals a lot and proves valuable in the decision making. Sometimes it's even more obvious. On a road trip in 2020, my wife and I had planned to stay in a hotel in a small west Texas town but the political banner hanging prominently from the building was all we needed to decide to alter our plans. Doesn't matter to me if they don't ever feel an impact, it matters to me that I'm not a source of revenue once I'm aware and I can avoid it.
I guess, if its easy then sure. Bet you have a cell phone that is run by a company that does some really nasty stuff like support extremist opinion news networks with dark money, funnels a tremendous amount of money into lobbying groups that do some real dirty stuff and purposely violate your rights and the law fully expecting to lose a class action lawsuit that costs them less than the profits they will make.

Everyone either has to choose the level in which they are comfortable supporting what they hate or doing without or stick their head in the sand.

I guess the argument could be made that by not being active in supporting businesses that do right puts us in this position of only having dirty companies as a choice.

So we blame so many things on parenting and growing up with nothing and there is despair because there is no way out. Yet we keep having children and putting them in the same situation we are currently in. I also think it’s selfish to have children when you can’t afford to provide the basics in their lives such as food and shelter. I am not honestly saying that we do this but honestly can anyone say it isn’t selfish?

It's the single-most selfish act there is, IMO.

I'm putting you here. You have no control over the DNA we're gonna give you. You'll live with that DNA for approximately 80 years. And you're going to love it.

Try to leave and we'll have you committed.

The purest form of evil, disguised and sold as love.

Do you work for Hallmark? That would be great to put on a kids birthday card.
