A microcosm of Winston’s career (2 Viewers)

I mean, he came in with game well over down 27-3 late in 3rd Quarter, zero fault of his own, all Saints fans already knowing we had lost the game. And then, then, well he made a freakin game of it. And yet people get mad when he, still playing from behind, came up short with some ints and want to bust on him because we did not win. Pretty sad. And absolutely a microcosm of his career.
I'm not blaming him for losing the game at all. Even with the ints he made the remaining game watchable. But he DID show what he's always done. Those type ints are not isolated to this game and coming from behind. It is who he has always been as an NFL QB.

All good man. I just still am trying to comprehend what I saw today. I saw a brutal defence in first half, brilliant in second half, you see brilliant Winston play first few drives, brutal decisions last few. It’s like a microcosm of our team and our coach.

I was sure in my heart of hearts Winston was gonna win this one for us. Wanted it for him. But he did what people thought he would.
Good Jameis can only hold off Bad Jameis for so long. At least Payton had figured out how to make Good Jameis play in control. Like I've said before, it's not coincidental that both Derek and Jameis have looked their best when they've thrown Pete's playcalling out the window.

Are people really blaming this loss on JW? I don’t think they should or are. I think he is the kind of guy that can bring you back when you are desperate, but a completely boneheaded play is always lurking around the corner. For every great play there is an equally bad play coming. That’s his career. Lead the league in passing with a record number of interceptions and barely 1.1 to 1 Td/int ratio.

They hate Jameis. He was tryna win man...but they won't see it like that...you know the saying in the South.
"Gotta work twice as hard and be perfect"
Dude come on with that sheet.. of course there is a person or two here who absolutely don't like Winston but the rest of us just want to see good, consistent QB play no matter who it is and neither Carr nor Winston provide that.

You almost never post but Winston gets us into competitive level of play while Carr was abysmal and yet you have a mouthful to say about Winston? Go figure or go back to hiding
Both QB’s are mediocre back up’s at best that won’t lead your team to the playoffs or a Superbowl with their play. That’s what you want to hear.

The first Int was for all intents a punt on a busted 3rd down that saw a free rusher in his face as soon as the ball was snapped...the 2nd....yeah that was bad, but what else was he supposed to do, wasn't it 4 verts?

And Shaheed stopped while the ball was in the air

But it's all good....he made the game watchable bringing us within 1 possession from being down 24 -3 into thr 3rd Q

If nothing Winstons Wild Ride is entertaining. No doubt.

And there it is….
You gotta call it out when you see it.

24-3 under Carr and crickets for his performance and they wanted Jameis to become Toussaint Louverture and scramble a W against the odds..but Carr can geaux out like Custard without a fight and it's crickets..."but Jameis..."
