Sean "Diddy" Combs houses were raided by Feds (Update: Diddy charged) (1 Viewer)

If you find yourself asking why there are child molesters in the boy/girl scouts, or in education, or wherever, the answer is obvious is all I'm saying. It shouldn't be a mystery as to why institutions that cater to children have child molesters present. It's a sad reality.
Exactly. "OMG, that pedophile was among children." "Where else would a pedophile be?"

That's not grooming.
Neither is scouts. Usually. Neither is being a priest. Usually. Neither is being a karate instructor. Usually. Neither is being a doctor. Usually. Neither is running a nonprofit organization for underprivileged children. Usually.

I'm not saying go mass hysteria and create another McMartin. But I'd rather be an obnoxious or over careful parent.

I still remember the time I wanted to go to an amusement park with my friend whose mother was going to drive. My mom wouldn't let me go and I threw a fit but she didn't back down. Years later I learned that my mom knew she was an alcoholic and while she couldn't stop her from driving, she could stop her kid from being in a car with her.

but there aren't laws being past to make scouts, priests, karate instructor, doctors, etc an illegal thing to do.

I think I understand you but could you clarify what is inherently dangerous about a drag story hour?

When my son was growing up (like pre-high school years), I never dropped him off and left him at practices or games (karate then soccer). A parent or grandparent was always present. Once he got into playing high school basketball, he was old enough to advocate for himself and knew better and was still being picked up/dropped off by his parents or grandma until he could drive himself or had teammates that were driving to drop him off.

Why are you putting the word "inherently" in there? Generally -- generally -- while dressed in drag, the queens tend towards blue humor. Great for a night club or perhaps adult story hour, not children. That'd just be MY feeling. I am not trying to tell anyone else what to think. Now, I don't know how to explain it to you any better than that so we can just agree to disagree because we obviously think differently.

When I was coaching youth hockey, we had to participate in something called “Safesport Training”. Mostly common sense as much as it was CYA, but a valuable experience.
Don’t offer a minor a ride home if their parents/guardians haven’t picked them up. Now, blow up their phones and do your due diligence. Don’t have a 1 on 1 meeting with a player unless there was another responsible adult available to witness (parent, asst coach etc). Sad that we have to process and interact this way, but it’s reality.

I appreciate the explanation! I put the word "inherently" there because I think it represents how you see drag, in general. Thanks, again, for clarifying.

I don't know anything about making drag queen story hour illegal. If that's true, no, I don't agree with that. I think it's a bad idea, not illegal.

This thread has gotten really off track

Co-worker just told me a story of when her kids played youth hockey, that a coach restricted parents from the locker at all times. She told her husband that this is not common and her husband as a man should be allowed in that locker at times as times past with other teams. She was not comfortable and had her son placed on a different team, fast forward a couple of months later, the coach was caught molesting two of the players.
