it's basically removing the need to choose between performance and fidelity

$700 seems unreasonably high for an upgrade to an already very good system. If I needed a new PS5 sure, why not, but buying one just to upgrade seems unreasonable. Charging prices like that for upgrades makes it more and more reasonable to just go with PC gaming and upgrade GPU every few years.

The one saving grace Sony has is their first person titles but how long can they afford to make those exclusives when M$ is starting to make all their first party stuff available on all platforms?

I’m glad it has 2TB of storage. I go thru storage quickly. Cannot wait!!! Not giving this one to my stepson lol.

Knew it was coming this holiday season, glad to have been right, it’s been too long since I’ve had my PS5’s.


Maybe someday I’ll give PC gaming a try again, had one built that was very nice and hated gaming on it. I am not a mouse and keyboard guy at all. I’m sure you can circumvent those things nowadays tho.

Yep. You can connect a PS or XBox controller to a PC. But sometimes it can be a little wonky for certain games depending on if they have controller support.

i am bummed about it not having a disc drive but at least it's got 2tb of storage...a 1tb ssd expansion is still around $100

I'm gonna pass on this for now, but I did see you could get a $410 credit for your PS5 from GameStop if you're willing to go without a console for a couple of months.
