Klint Kubiak has a second interview with Seahawks on Jan. 17th [Kubiak is in the driver seat for Seahawks OC job per Mike Garafolo] (1 Viewer)

He jumped at the first opportunity. Injuries are part of the game. I'm not saying he wasn't better than Pete; just that with his background, it would have been better to wait for someone outside of the deer. He has connections to the McVay and Shanahan coaching trees, the job would have come.

It's not like this was his first OC job. He's been an OC before in Minnesota. He likely took this job because he thought it was his best opportunity to have a good year as an OC and get interviews as a HC. And it almost worked. After the first two weeks of the season there was lots of chatter about him getting a HC job. Then the injuries came and he fell back down to Earth.

Maybe he just needed the money?

New Coach = New Coaches

Kubiak and a lot of these other assistance coaches may be better off on a team that is missing their addition as opposed to a team restructuring their own.
KK will for sure be taking all 3 of the other coaches with him. We better figure something out quick.

I question the judgement of anyone who thought a 34-year-old Taysom Hill should get such a heavy amount of touches and expect him not to get injured.
I don't think the touches he got was what I considered a lot or even unreasonable. He's just not a durable guy and his physical nature doesn't help. It's unfortunate.

It would suck to lose kubiak after one season, but I get it. Seahawks would be a good fit for him.

Id expect KK and company in Seattle, to put together another juggernaut offense like San Fran. It fair to judge him when we had a full team. Its unfair to judge him without QB1 coupled with a patchwork offensive line.
