Klint Kubiak has a second interview with Seahawks on Jan. 17th [Kubiak is in the driver seat for Seahawks OC job per Mike Garafolo] (2 Viewers)

It seems other teams don’t share the board’s concerns about second half adjustments.
Cleveland has no concerns over anyone

Seattle has a very young coach.

I am not saying KK is bad by any means, he would not be considered a top coordinator in the league either by any means.

I am sure there were a lot of variables that led to him being so bad in the 2H of games.

Great fit. Hope he lands there. This is a big opportunity for him. They have some big quality physical backs there to match up with his scheme.

Also, his connections (and last name) virtually guarantee he will always get a job.

I dispute that. He knew the situation he was getting into. Allen wasn't some first time coach coming off winning seasons. The probability of him being here must longer was not a safe assumption.

I mean, he didn't know that Taysom Hill, his top two WRs, and starting QB would miss half or more of the games. He also didn't know that the middle of his offensive line would be hurt for most of the year or that Kamara would miss a significant number of games.

He's a big boy and knew the risks, but he was still handicapped in ways that he did not expect when he took the job.

Still, I think he's a solid OC, miles better than Carmichael, but I also don't think he's an amazing OC that we can't upgrade.

Seattle will be dangerous next season if the pieces on offense can stay healthy and they hire Klint.

He jumped at the first opportunity. Injuries are part of the game. I'm not saying he wasn't better than Pete; just that with his background, it would have been better to wait for someone outside of the deer. He has connections to the McVay and Shanahan coaching trees, the job would have come.

It's not like this was his first OC job. He's been an OC before in Minnesota. He likely took this job because he thought it was his best opportunity to have a good year as an OC and get interviews as a HC. And it almost worked. After the first two weeks of the season there was lots of chatter about him getting a HC job. Then the injuries came and he fell back down to Earth.

Maybe he just needed the money?
