Odds to pick #1: Saints moved from 200 to 1 odds to 26 to 1; Vegas has Saints as 3rd most likely team to select at #1

Would you want Cam Ward at #1?

I just don't see this.

If the Saints think they will be good enough this season to play themselves out of a chance to get a top QB next year, that would be the only way.

We have too many holes and too many depth issues to squander the draft capital it would take to make this move.

Besides, from what I'm reading, Tennessee's not budging.

This feels more like a "make a splash" move than a "thats our guy, get him!" move imo. I like what I see in Cam. Buys time to throw. I just don't see him being worth trading some (or a lot) of our future away to go get him. He wouldn't be in the worst situation with the Saints like some top draft picks have been, but I'd like to see the new staff settle in and really know who they want to take the reigns on the new system.

If this is all Moore's doing, then I'll be on board. If this is Loomis strong arming to get his new coach a QB, then I think its a mistake.

I think we can get a strong, foundational player at 9 or trade back and build our depth as we find those key pieces this year and the next.

For the Saints to do this, I would question their sanity. Chicago took Caleb Williams at #1 but should have taken Jayden Daniels. Look at Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson. The list is long for QB's taken early and not worked. QB is not a plug and play position. We can't give away picks in the draft on a QB. This team is at the bottom of the pile and needs to build back through the draft, piece by piece. QB is not one of those positions at the moment .

Who knows. But if you're Tennessee, acting desperate to move from from the #1 spot doesn't help you maximize your return. Even if they wanted to move, you have to say there's no way you're moving.

Agree, every team puts out smokescreens and misinformation around draft time, trying to steer teams away from guys they want.
