If we just happened to be number 1 in this draft, I'd be fine with taking Ward. But I would not pay for Ward what the Panther's paid for Bryce Young.

Outside of LG, all of those positions are depth picks. They can get a starting LG in the 2nd or 3rd. Other key depth can be addressed in FA at any time.Need a starting LG, Starting CB, WR3/4, RB2, starting SLB, Edge depth, OL depth, Safety depth and maybe offensive tackle, DT and TE depth.
Not sure I’m blowin* the next 2 yrs draft capital on one guy unless it’s 1983
But another way to think about it is we'll definitely need a qb next year and just mediocre is $40mil per year. All of those other positions are relatively cheap. Just something to consider when looking for the best value.Need a starting LG, Starting CB, WR3/4, RB2, starting SLB, Edge depth, OL depth, Safety depth and maybe offensive tackle, DT and TE depth.

For the Saints to do this, I would question their sanity. Chicago took Caleb Williams at #1 but should have taken Jayden Daniels. Look at Bryce Young, Anthony Richardson. The list is long for QB's taken early and not worked. QB is not a plug and play position. We can't give away picks in the draft on a QB. This team is at the bottom of the pile and needs to build back through the draft, piece by piece. QB is not one of those positions at the moment .
These odds are irrelevant…
They strictly moved the Saints odds higher due to recent reports such as Cam Ward saying “it’s a dream to play for the Saints”
This is no different than when reports came out that we were talking to Deshaun Watson and Vegas moved the Saints to the overall best odds to sign Watson and we know how that turned out.
I wish a stat or a chart existed showing how many times drafting a franchise QB in the top ten picks actually works out. Even without the cost of moving up, it’s a crap shoot.
