LSU Game Thread 11/25/23 Texas A&M vs LSU (3 Viewers)

Nope - the 3rd player was SPYING the QB. How DUMB was that!!!

The QB was NEVER going to run it!

(And the other two "rushing the QB" were never really trying to reach the QB!)

And...

The WR who caught the ball was in the slot and he did a "crossing route" (can't think of the proper name) with the WR to his left at about the 5 yard line.

THREE Auburn defenders followed the WR cutting inwards, leaving ONE DB within TEN YARDS of the WR who caught the ball.

Mind you there were already THREE defenders in the middle of the endzone, thus no need for the defenders to follow the WR cutting inward!

(And we thought the LSU DBs had a lot to be desired!)

Auburn coaches should have been fired on the spot for that IDIOTIC scheme.
Oh, it was poorly executed, but the theory was sound.

The third guy, the DT, was doing the same thing the other two were doing.

Meanwhile back at the ranch...

WTH was Auburn doing rushing ONLY TWO players and giving Bama QB ALL DAY to throw the winning TD!

smh

Was the fix in???

If I was an Auburn fan in the stands, I'd "disrobe" myself all team clothing and throw it in the nearest trash can.
Two words Hugh Freeze. AKA Lame Kiffin Jr. SEC West has a clown car as a head coaching show for the most part outside of Saban.

Exactly !!!!!!

Now you know why no DC's in the NFL use a spy on the Qb. Auburn was basically playing with
10 men on defense. That spy would have been better off dropped into coverage at the goaline. If
the Qb decides to run he'd never make it to the endzone.

They had 8 dudes in coverage. 8. Covering 5 people.

As you said earlier it was thee correct defensive call. One defender went to the middle of the endzone
instead of going to the corner to help. Right Call Bad Execution. I know some here wanted an all out
blitz, but that gives the offense one on one matchups and what a Qb wants to see

Guys, here's what really happened in that Auburn game ...
