2018 Draft Prospects (1 Viewer)

I like Tyler Conklin the TE Central Michigan. He seems like a Trey Burton type of player. Was WR before moving to TE to help the team.

For reals...How about RB Ito Smith from South-Miss? Over the last 3 years, that man has been one of the most explosive RBs in all of college football. All these guys comparing RB A, B, and C to Kamara. The guy who comps best to AK in Ito Smith. Watch his reels. How on earth does he not get an invite? Colorado RB Phil Lindsay, too.

EDGE/DE Justin Lawlor from SMU and TCU MONEY/LB/DB Travin Howard got over looked. My favorite small school player DB Jeremy Reaves from South Bama got dissed, too. And how can you have LB Christian Sam at the combine and not his running mate DJ Calhoun? Both those AZ St LBs were predators this year. And you can even argue that Calhoun was the better player of the two. I dont know how so many of these guys got ignored. It happens every year, but this year was more scandalous than most. Crazy!

Joodas - you know your football prospects. I always look forward to the info you post on this board. Quality posts.

I think Calhoun stayed in school right? He’s a good player.

Correction: Researched him and he did indeed graduate.. Crazy that he hasn’t been mentioned much. He’s a Shaq Thompson type, but he can carve something out.

Thanks, my friend! I get a lot of help from my bros and my girl, lol

Serious! Calhoun's a splatterhouse hitter. I cant believe he slipped through the cracks. Im pretty sure that scouts and FOs are well aware of the guys who got snubbed. But it does suck that these kids werent allowed to preform on the same stage w/their peers.

A lot of those guys are even better prospects than the ones showcased at the combine. Guys from the small schools like Jeremy Reaves and Ito Smith got ripped. I think those dudes wouldve/couldve blown up and left the combine w/some legit buzz. Well, at least they got their prodays to shine. Looking forward to those.

What do you guys think of Armani Watts as a slot corner? Athleticism is incredible. As a safety I think he’s too inconsistent, but he looks great covering in the slot on film.

I think he's good. Watts get run over a bit too much for my liking, but he's a CB. I'd prefer Duke Dawson over Watts, though, if we're talking CB/Slot. I think Dawson does everything Watts does but better. Dawson will also knock your teeth into throat in run support.

Check out this freak of nature! Jordan Mailta. That's one uber athletic giant, right there. The dude could be a practice squad diamond. Shades of Haloti Ngata.

Interesting prospect. I do think the Saints will take a Safety late to keep the talent in the secondary circulating.

Searching for something else I found that quote you guys were arguing about. Perhaps it was a different thread but think it was this one.

Curious if you and Deuce have any thoughts on or have already looked at Duke Ejiofor, DE from Wake Forest. Couldn't find his combine numbers, but he projects as a mid round prospect.

I LOVE his pass rush on tape. He has violent hands and a pro-bowl tool kit of swim, spin, and rip moves that no one in college could do anything about. He's fast to the QB and quick laterally. Sets up blockers with ease and strikes. By far my favorite pass rusher in this draft.

That said...... he is trash against the run. Not strong, and honestly doesn't seem to understand what's happening most of the time in that area. He reminds me of an early JR. He's not as ferocious of a rusher, but he has that same ability to be disruptive. I'd love to have him as a situational rusher with a mid-late pick.

Last year my favorite pass rusher through the whole draft process was Carl Lawson, and I was steamed when we drafted Hendricks over him. It worked out for us, but he's balling for Cincy as a rusher. I think Ejiofor has a lot of that in him.

Watts looked really smooth in his combine drills - he impressed me. But if we were going to draft a saftey, I'd put my chips on Troy Apke. That guy can play, and he'll cost less in the draft that Watts will.

6'2" 198 lbs
4.34 40
41 vertical
10'9" broad
6.56 3-cone
4.03 20-yard shuttle

The guy is so fast, so explosive, so fluid, I've never seen anyone who moved so naturally. He proved he can intercept the ball in the NFLPA game, where he won the MVP. That makes sense, because he's a converted WR. He scored in the 99th SPARQ percentile, and he father was linebacker.

Suggest checking him out, if you haven't already.

Dallas Goedert is looking like a strong possibility right about now.
