2018 Draft Prospects (1 Viewer)

Agreed -- weak at the top, strong in the mid tier.

This is exactly how i felt, no real game changing WRs early on, but good middle round #2 type Wrs and we have a lot of middle round picks so works out perfect for us.

Siran Neal has been my guy in the 5th round, but not anymore. I want Dane Cruikshank from Arizona.

No, Dane Cruikshank is not on Minkah Fitzpatrick’s level as a prospect. Fitzpatrick is much more nuanced and NFL-ready as both a zone and run defender because of his reliability and consistency. However, Cruikshank is bigger, more athletic, and in my opinion, even better in man coverage. They can both play nearly every spot in the secondary with their versatility, but the difference is that I trust Fitzpatrick to produce right out of the gates, which is why he is a slam-dunk top 10 grade for me. For Cruikshank, he is in the second round on my board because he still has to develop consistency as a deep defender in zone and open-field tackler, but he has shown flashes of promise in both areas.

6-8 346lb rugby player Jordan Mailata also ran the forty at 5.1 flat.

This guy seems interesting to me.
Huge rugby player has impressive workout for NFL scouts
Mailata is a 20-year-old, 6-foot-8, 346-pound Samoan rugby player who currently competes for a team in Sydney, Australia, and he showed that he has the natural athleticism to play at the NFL level. He had a 5.12-second 40-yard dash and a 4.67-second short shuttle, both of which are excellent times for a man his size.

OL or DL? That's the question. Would be a mountain to move as a DT. Would be a mountain to go around as an OL.

He would definitely make it in the WWE.

Another small school LBer. Dennis Gardeck 6-0 240lbs.
Had good pro day, Saints scout looking at. 345 career tackles, 57.5 tfl, 32 sacks, 9 ff.

It's been fun finding new diamonds in the rough, but I keep coming back to M.J. Stewart. His draft stock has finally started to rise a bit lately, but is still vastly overlooked. He played CB in college, both outside and as the nickel, but I think he's best suited as a roaming safety, both near the line and back free and can easily play the nickel role. Dude is a ball player and I believe he'll end up a Pro Bowler.

Maybe it's just me but I feel this is an extremely weak WR class this year.

Know what, it's def not class that has true gamebreaking #1's. But there's a bunch of #2's and a bunch of slot WRs of all sizes. Ive been on Jordan Lasley from day 1, and still think he's got the potential of being the Michael Thomas of this years draft.

Lasley had some maturity knocks early in his college career, but he's since rehabbed his image and became Rosens #1 got to WR. Lasley even balled w/Modster at QB the last 2 games. Lasley is a complete WR. He runs the entire tree, has hands, speed, can take a dump off to the house. The guy is grossly underrated. I love me some Jaleel Scott, but Jordan Lasley is a true thoroughbred. I think Lasley would be the perfect WR to pair and develop as Mike T's future #2.

Anthony Miller just ran an unofficial 4.48 and put up a 39" vertical. Could be a steal if he's on the board in round 3. The Saints are going to get a really good WR at some point in the draft. There are too many of them not to end up with one.

Nice to have 8 picks this year, isn't it? Some guys are going to fall, there's no way everyone go day 1 & 2. Mathematically impossible.

It's the day 3 guys I get excited about.

WR is never really bad, there are just too many of them to be discovered. I bet 2 or 3 unheralded rooks will pop up and be all the rage by week 8.

I think TE is better than average. There are 3 or 4 real good ones out beyond the top 5 common names in the mocks and ratings lists.

Love this kid and hope we find a way to land him. Would be awesome to have him starting next to Williams for the next decade.

Arden Key with a 4.85. I have no idea what that even is about.

He's supposedly up to 250 but still not a good time for him. He is unraveling similar to Demontre Moore a few years ago. I remember so many of us being high on him then his stock started to fall rapidly. He went from being mocked 1st round early in the process as high as top15 at times to being a 3rd round pick by the Giants.
