2022 NBA PLAYOFFS THREAD (2 Viewers)

nope. there are not enough ball to go around for the touches.
Keeping Durant, Harden, and Ibaka would have been my play. Not the perfect play mind you because Ibake was not exactly on an upward trajectory in the years following.

Trading Westbrick while his atleticism still disguised his awfulness could help add young talent around those three goving them an extended window.

I dislike Westbricks game though... of course I dislike OKC too so that couple being left stuck with one another was perfect for me.

Again I am FOREVER pissed at Harden for pushing my Rockets to send CP3 and PICKS for that stat padding inefficient chucker.

What was more maddening about Westbrick's time as a Rocket was his interviews. He seemed a grounded, thoughtful man who, despite being a fierce competitor, valued his family above all else. Hating his game so much, and the negative impact he had on the team's performance... it was really hard to accept that I might like and respect him more as a human being than Harden.

If this video checks out the kid in the green jersey became internet famous for no good reason, but hard to tell.

Yeah, I saw that video a few times (and searched for additional videos that might be floating around out there). Boneheaded move if he touched them in any other manor than to give them a high five after an exciting play or something.

Talking trash to an opposing team is acceptable, laying hands on someone is quite the opposite.

Is that the kid’s mother moving him out ? This kid is a mama’s boy?

I am not sure what all is going on in that video. Is that the person that invited fans down to sit with him (as laid out in the video posted by Mr. Sparkle)? It’s such a strange sequence of events where now, you can’t just take one person’s account of the story at face value without getting the other side’s story as well.

Most of the video I saw on ESPN shows a young guy in a green jersey being kicked out with his mom(?), as CP3 is yelling at him. He is the one who - after being identified shortly afterward - went on social media to say it wasnt him but 2 other people he brought down to his section.

This video makes it seem as if a younger kid in a white shirt reached over and tapped someone on the shoulder, which I assume is one of the 2 people that came down to the section.

There may be more to it and/or different altercation but that's what it looks like.

Whoever reached out to touch one of the Paul clan was in the wrong (keep your hands to yourself) but hardly a bodily assault as described by CP3

but hardly a bodily assault as described by CP3
Unwanted intentional physical contact is an assault. There are situations where a man tapping on your shoulder could justify you beating him within an inch of his life in "self defense". Hands to yourself or reap severe consequences. Very simple life rule.

It's a stupid rule. A reasonable tap on the shoulder to get someone's attention hardly warrants a beat down. If you don't like it, be courteous and just say you don't like to be touched. Most people will get the memo and move on. Not really that complicated. Says more about the person overreacting violently than anything else.

Two unruly fans attempted to give unwanted hugs and have conversations with members of the Paul family on the public concourse of the American Airlines Center,” the Mavericks said in a statement. “AAC

Apparently they were being unruly. I would not want to hug them either.

No. Hands to yourself is the default. I should never have to tell someone "please don't touch me."

Yeah, a light tap on the shoulder to get attention doesn't warrant a beat down, but I'm envisioning a bar, a big dude blocking your exit, and when you try to go around him, he pokes his finger at your shoulder and says he's going to kill you. The only touching was a finger to the shoulder, but there isn't a jury in the country that would convict you if went though him to get out.

Speaking of the finger poke of doom. Worst match of all time.
