Yep. Several #3s beat #2s so far today. LSU struggled not to be in that number.

Well, Nicholls just allowed another 3-run shot to UC-Irvine, and now find themselves down 8-1 in the bottom of the 4th inning.

The Anteaters added another run in the same inning. It’s now a 9-1 free-for-all for UC Irvine. The scoring may not end anytime soon in the 4th.

I went into Costanza Mode and now Nicholls has come back with 4 runs of their own. Wouldn’t that be an amazing turn of events!

So far Vandy is the only SEC team (of 11 in the tournament) who lost their first round game. (Though Alabama is doing their best right now to join them in the loser’s bracket.)

The Cajuns take an early 1-0 over Texas. Currently in the 3rd inning.

Nicholls is now just two runs down to the Anteaters 10-8.
Hopefully they can do something special with just 6 outs left to play with.

Another homer for the Cajuns at the College Station Regional. They are now up 2-0 over Texas.

Sadly the Longhorns have already come back against the Cajuns and have taken a 3-2 lead. They have also retired the starting Cajun pitcher for the day. The 4th inning has been a big one for Texas.

It’s a bit surprising that LIU has taken a 3-1 lead over #1 seed North Carolina in the Chapel Hill Regional. It would be incredible if LSU & LIU could both advance into the winner’s bracket.

Nicholls is down two runs in the top of the 9th, but they have runners on 1st & 2nd base with nobody out. An amazing comeback for a team that was down 9-1 earlier in this game!

Nicholls just took the lead with a 3-run homer in the top of the 9th!

Nicholls has been to the NCAA tournament 5 times but has never won a game. They just need to get three scoreless outs in the bottom of the ninth to get their first victory in the big dance!

So far Grambling has been the only team in all the regionals to have been shutout. They lost to TAMU 8-0.

Bases loaded, two outs for the Anteaters in the Nicholls game… and they drive in a two run hit to a walkoff win over the Colonels, 13-12

Sadly it was an error that got the bases loaded. The game should have ended before the winning hit.
