Not saying I want us to go DE, but if we did and we grabbed him you wouldn’t hear me complain. He’s pretty complete. He definitely helped himself.
He had an excellent combine.

I don't think anyone would disagree with this take tbh.To me, he’s the 4th best pass catcher in the draft even with being a TE
I have him as #2 hahaI don't think anyone would disagree with this take tbh.
Verse is nice but Latu is still EDGE1 for me by quite a bit too.Verse is nice man, everything you want from a DE. Strong, explosive, quick, array of pass rush moves. He’s the real deal.

Over the past TWO years Latu has a 27% pass rush win rate (by far highest in the class) and true pass rush grade of 94 by PFF. By FAR in a league of his own. That's 99th percentile which includes pass drafts.
His wins above replacement average is .51. That is absolutely INSANE and again in a complete league of his own.
Don't fall in love with the underwear olympics. Combine should only be used to match the film.
Honestly Latu had a good combine, 6’5” 265 and had what - 4.65? Plenty speed, size, and a seasoned vet when it comes to pass rush moves.Verse is nice but Latu is still EDGE1 for me by quite a bit too.

I dont see the the Trey H comp either, but that seems to be a popular comp in the draft community for Latu. In my opinion, Latu is very, VERY, similar to Maxx Crosby when he was coming into the league from EMU. The difference is Latu is a more polished & technically sound pass rusher entering the pros w/a lot more tools & rush moves. Body type is also similar. Here’s some of Crosby’s EMU tape. Compare that w/Latu’s tape from UCLA. I even see a hints of old school Jason Taylor in Latu’s game. I hope he’s our guy at 14. After all these misses at EDGE, i think we’d finally get it right w/Latu.I don't see the Trey H comparisons at all. Trey wins off speed whereas Latu wins with his hands/pass rush moves.
He's tested much better than expect today and as long as he clears medically should be a lock for the top 20 and is my edge1 by far.
I think the medical evaluation is the big test for Latu. He may only play 5 of 6 season because of past injuries be pending on how he has healedHonestly Latu had a good combine, 6’5” 265 and had what - 4.65? Plenty speed, size, and a seasoned vet when it comes to pass rush moves.
Glad to see the running backs getting back to the 4.3 and 4.4 40’s. While there we had a couple slower classes.
My guy ran a 4.38I like Jacob cowing wr arizona.
Looking forward to his times
All depends on the medicals.Honestly Latu had a good combine, 6’5” 265 and had what - 4.65? Plenty speed, size, and a seasoned vet when it comes to pass rush moves.
