Saints 49ers fans are giving us ZERO chance at winning... (1 Viewer)

You're clearly concerned about their opinions if you took the time to make the thread.

And you seem to be overly concerned about defending them. In any case, I'm mostly excited about our upcoming game against them. This is a Saints forum after all.

Laughing at insecure Saints fans ≠ defending niner fans. I just enjoy pointing out when fans of any kind let their biases blind them. After the niners only beat the Cards by a FG on TNF a few weeks ago, we were all licking our chops for the teams' game against each other. Somehow, now when we do basically the same we're supposed to be some robust contender?

Let me tell you how lame the Niner Faithful is.

REALLY ForkKING LAME.

I lived in SF for 20 years. That fanbase is comprised of gross tech companies giving out box seats, tragic people from the Central Valley (think Modesto or Stockton), and some random Filipinos who are actually pretty cool.

But, my point is, it's arguably the least educated fan base in the NFL. I'm not joking. I am entirely positive that over 80% cannot name more than 5 players on the team. So whatever they "think" or "predict" doesn't mean sh**. They literally aren't sure if they're at a 49ers game, or a Warriors game, or a Giants game, or a Sharks game. They just know that their disgusting tech company comped them 8 tickets for a "sports thingy".

Whatever. They suck.
I'm really glad you verified this. It's exactly what I'd heard recently about their fanbase that fills half of the stadium. My family nearly getting assaulted walking to their car in the parking lot after the 2011 playoff loss just shows that the true fans who fill the rest of the stadium are actually real pieces of crap. Supposedly moving to Santa Clara has gotten rid of the piece of work fans, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Yeah, how dare you create a thread about what the opposing fanbase thinks about our upcoming game (which comes after they have to play the hottest team in the league right now).

Like none. They don't see us as a threat at all. Of course, they have always been an arrogant bunch. The fact that they are even talking about us before they play the Ravens proves they see us as a threat. Personally, I think they might be in for a rude awakening. The teams we have faced lately were division rivals so of course the games were close. It all starts with getting our players as healthy as possible. Thankfully, we didn't suffer any major injury setbacks on the Thursday night game and we have a little extra time to rest up. I really believe our players will rise to the challenge and I expect the fans in the dome to bring their A-game.
I suppose the whole left side of our "O" line doesn't count? But I agree. We have a bit of time to recover and game plan a solid scheme. We can NOT let penalties negate the great returns we've been getting from Deonte' Harris , the picks and fumble recoveries we've benefited from (or should have IF no penalties are called!) and those DPI's in the End Zone have simply GOT TO STOP! It's getting really stupid now when we break a huge run only to be called back and lose 10yds due to "Hands to the face!"?? In the words of some lame jerk on The NFLC; Come On Man! <> may have been Fox but no matter<> the penalties are where the Refs can dig back at us and leave us vulnerable and these past three weeks we've had to play out opponents and the Refs together but somehow, we've made them ALL our batches of oatmeal , so Let's Keep up the tempo, beat S.F. to make certain the flow , like The Mighty Mississippi , rolls right through New Orleans as this is OUR YEAR and I'd love our chances vs B'more or less and The Patty Cakes from the arc! I LOVE our chances once we get there but fighting the Refs makes it extremely difficult to do so Stay Frosty Guys and Gals of The WHODAT NATION! We're on a serious Roll which MUST continue on through San Fran and on until our regular season's end , with a bye week and then Divisional play-offs at HOME!! This has always felt as if it's been OUR YEAR , even when Drew went down to a horrible throwing thumb bum injury and Teddy Bridgewater came on in and we supported him on through those tough games ( shoot!! Seattle in their 12th man home and it's Teddy's first attempt at being at the helm of this Air Craft Carrier of a ship and he gets it done 5 X's!! Glory if that doesn't tell you we're headed to a very familiar home for The Superbowl, ? I don't know what would if that doesn't encourage you! We've WON Division Champs earlier than ever and we still have to fight for home field and we know how important that is for us! Nothing like having 65K FANS adding to the positivity of our games! Ginn PLEASE catch the ball the way we KNOW you can and Cook? Let's work on consistency as Alvin heals that ankle to make that first guy(s) MISS you completely and you sail on into the end zone for points! Come on guys!! Can't you smell it? That's the Championship and we're already in a great position to get there and I BELEIVE IN EVERONE OF YOU!! Put a couple of complete games together and ease off of the penalties and guess what?? We're Superbowl Bound and once there? It's anyone's game but with "Shon Lattimore and that solid D-line? We're looking better than EVER to win it all and there will be NO excuses or reasons or distractions to keep us held back from winning it ALL! WHODAT GEAUX SAINTS GEAUX!!!!!

I feel like you are taking my post more seriously than I am.

I love this post, MamaRoux. But, please help us out with some paragraph breaks. I took me five tries to read this post through to the end.

I may be getting too into this, but I can explain.

California has two main Latin gangs. The Surenos are located in Southern California, anywhere below Bakersfield. so primarily Los Angeles and the surrounding suburbs and counties. They wear blue.

The Nortenos are located in Northern California, heavily in the Bay Area but surrounding areas as well. they are also very prominent in the Central Valley. they were red. As a result, they have kind of adopted the 49ers as their team.

the end result is you have this bizarre mix of gangsters and high-level Silicon Valley corporate Executives mixed in a stadium. and none of them actually understand football. they are there for entirely different reasons.

It's such a lame , inauthentic fan base
