How about this one: Florida St got “screwed” by the selection committee in the CFP just to make the most amount of money possible when if you actually read the criteria Alabama was the right choice

Not buying it. FSU was already at #4, so they got penalized for winning their championship game.
And for the record I don’t even have a dog in the fight. I’m a UH grad but a college football fan. We suck, only good thing they did all season was fire Holgerson.

Just tired of all the whining and crying out there

If they knew FL ST was so terrible, they should have moved them down out of the top 4 before the Conf Championship Game.
Their back up QB could have thrown for 600 yards and scored 65 points and they still would have put Bama in over them.

That's not a conspiracy theory, that's just true.

The committee was afraid of having another TCU type game that would tank their ratings and hurt their advertising dollar bottom line. The NCAA is all about earning money, not about the well fare of the student athletes or any sense of fairness. The only times they'll pretend to have an interest in "fairness" is when they feel it will earn them more dollars.

And for the record, Alabama doesn't belong in the playoff, period. They did not legitimately win the SEC title in the first place.

However, if Georgia had not been cheated out of the win by the officials, I feel confident the committee would have left out FSU anyway, putting in Texas instead, so the playoffs would have been Georgia, Michigan, Washington, Texas.

I’m no Bama fan (not even close), but I don’t know this argument- splain plz
If you watched the game, you saw Bama "convert" a 4th down on a pass where the football dragged the ground. It was an obvious trap, but the refs on the field called it a catch and the review people didn't even bother to look at it. This pass put them in the red zone and they scored a TD on the very next play, then Georgia got the ball with not enough time left on the clock to do anything. BUT the ball didn't even belong to Bama for that score. If the refs or the review officials had done their job, Georgia would have had the ball back near mid-field. This was a huge swing in the game, putting Bama up by 10 points at the half.
In the second half, there were at least three plays where Georgia's WR was mugged by the DB, very obvious PI, but no flag was thrown. One of those would have put Georgia right about the 5 IIRC. On the other side of the ball, Bama's offensive line was allowed to hold Georgia's pass rushers whenever they felt like it.

Take away the erroneous first half TD and Georgia has the winning score. Call the PIs, and Georgia probably scores at least two more touchdowns, which likely would have had Georgia winning going away. People will argue that "you can't really know what all would have happened" had those calls been reversed. While that's true, one certainly can know Bama would not have scored that TD, and Georgia certainly would have scored at least one field goal out of those two PIs that would have put them near the end zone. Considering the final score had Bama up by three, it's easy math to see they'd have lost the game without inept/crooked officiating.

This was simply theft by the officials to ensure Bama won the game. End of story. Bama did not earn a berth in the playoff, it was handed to them by the NCAA officials calling that game.

I do think the committee screwed up the rankings bad. Georgia was the first team to drop out of the top 4 from 1 because of a CCG lost.

I disagree about FSU's play not mattering. If FSU played a better game they would have been in. That first half was god awful football by both teams in the ACC championship.

It was going to be unprecedented either way. Alabama does appear to be the better team right now. MI's audible groans at hearing they had to play Bama from their livestream really should make it clear.

The committee's job is not give let in those who "deserve it", but simply the best teams for the playoffs.
