Actually, I don't think that's true. What shows for Urban is multiple roles in the same franchises (The Boys, Star Trek, LOTR). Esposito has a lot in everything, TV and movies, going back to frickin Sesame Street.

The "contacts and makeup" trope exists for a reason.
Too many smart, gorgeous girls go out of their way to be invisible.
A sci/fi con is where that gets reversed. And it's glorious.
