Ads on mobile making forums almost unreadable (3 Viewers)

I am also using iPhone with safari.
I agree. For one in three threads, Advertisements are behind text and make scrolling and reading very difficult.

I love the website and am happy to offer financial support; however, the current model of advertising is very difficult to work with.

Will me paying a monthly subscription fee remove this problem completely???

happy to help.

Yep it works wonders. I get zero kinds of ads. Plus it helps a very worthy cause.

Much cheaper than going to the movies, the bar or whatever other fun things normal people do.

With Saintsreport.com all you need is a bag of popcorn šŸæ and watch everything unfold

(y) Just click on the link below and sign up as a subscriber. You can Choose whatever amount you want to contribute monthly or yearly.

My goal is not for @Andrus to lose ad revenue. My goal is for the site to be usable with advertisements.

That is the thing that some of the members pushing ad blockers and the like don't seem to get. When you block ads or use ad blockers (I can identify who is using them), this site loses revenue. Revenue necessary to pay this sites bills.

These sorts of incidents with unscrupolous advertisers serving intrusive ads happens from time to time, and every time it happens we have a few members that come in and promote ways to block all of the ads, figuratively slapping me in the face when doing so. It would be a lot better for both the site as well as the affected users if they would simply sign up for a subscription, thereby eliminating the intrusive ad issue, and supporting the site at the same time.

For those on an iphone or ipad what i did to get rid of these types of ads - click in the address bar and click on the ā€œaAā€ then request desktop site. May not be the ideal solution for everyone but made the site readable again for me.

Anyway, as of this morning, itā€™s unfortunately still happening.

Not that I've had any interest in Swatch watches since the 80's when I was in middle school, but after the last week I swear I will make sure to never buy any Swatch products for the rest of my life.

Hi there, would it be possible to send us a screenshot please? We are looking into this!
Mine looks just like the screen shot shown in post #8 in page 1 of this thread.

EDIT: Just spent a few minutes testing out several SR forum threads on my iPhone. For me, at the moment, the Swatch-ad issue appears to be gone. For the moment -- this happened before and Swatch came back with a vengeance.

This ad is not making things unreadable, and chances are it's just me and @MSUSousaphone having it pop up but it's kinda bumming me out.

Considering this happened last week.

Thanks for this report. That's really unfortunate, I suspect their campaign will run until their set budget is exhausted, that's uncomfortable.

It's hard to tell what page you are on where this is overlapping content. Can you tell me which page is having this issue?

As for that specific creative I'll see if I can block the advertiser.

Itā€™s not overlapping content. I was just pointing out how morbid it is (especilly so because he was my eye doctor šŸ˜³) And yeah I'm sure they have bigger things on their plate but if I where them I would have reached out and ended my ad runs and updated my own website if I was working over there. šŸ‘€
