Ahsoka Live Action Series (Disney+)

I know it's behind the scenes, but it's kind of weird seeing Shin smile...

Every scene she is in, I'm just hoping they kill her off. She's the worst.

I did really enjoy Ezra's force fighting without needing weapons, that was really well done and very interesting. I also liked the fact that even with 2 sabers Ashoka couldn't beat Baylan. Although not quite the Thrawn from the Zahn books, he is by far one of the most competent bad guys we've seen and it's quite refreshing. But Sabine just grates on my nerves and I'm hoping for an emotional moment where she has to sacrifice herself to save Ezra or Ashoka.

i'm not sure - Ashoka bested Maul, stood tall against Vader and was one of the best fighters ever
now at her peak she was a physical phenomenon - leaping from falling ship to falling ship
'present day' Ashoka hasn't shown much of that acrobatic flair- maybe that's by choice, maybe she no longer has that full range (except that she jumped out of her ship, so...??)
she was distracted in the first fight - second fight, i think if she wanted to/could have spent the time, she could have won

also, i suggest (guess) that you might want to get comfortable with Sabine, i think she's just starting her arc

I think they have made attempts to show the acrobatic Ahsoka, it's just harder to do in live action. In nearly every fight they have had her do something "acrobatic". I think they are absolutely emphasizing that Baylan is REALLY good, so good Ahsoka is at least evenly matched. I think they are building to some dramatic way Ahsola beats him from a narrative standpoint, or that someone else beats him. He's definitely being built up from some shocking moment because they have made him Dooku level good.

Ahsoka is one of the top 10, maybe top 5 duelists in the SW universe (well to this point). She was injured for that first fight, and only seemed to be interested in distracting him for the second. She basically toyed with two Inquisitors in Rebels in addition to what GMW mentioned, so she can definitely hold her own. Baylan seems to use a more "overwhelming strength" approach whereas Ahsoka has always been more light/agile. You'd think that would be a "hard counter", but maybe she has to be a little more defensive because one hit is really all he needs?

Just hit play on episode 1 in preparation for tonight!

This show has been such a welcomed and awesome early week thing to look forward to!
Gonna really miss that, but so pumped for tonight.

he's obviously very powerful (i hope we get some insight into who his master was), but also, seemingly, unencumbered
and they're showing Ashoka very encumbered with doubts but also wanting a different path
