Yeah, I'm not buying the cancer thing. All the players hated Petrino. As much as I don't like the Falcons I have to agree with them. He really made himself look like a cowardly s.o.b. by jumping ship before the season even ended. And even if he is known for dropping passes that just means we would have an Eric Johnson that can actually block.

Crumpler would be a major upgrade at TE and would absolutely flourish in New Orleans with Brees tossing him the ball ala Brees-Gates in SD. Mother Theresa would be considered a cancer in Atlanta after all that went on there last year. I'm not buying the cancer thing. The fact is Crumpler has been one of the best TE's in the game for the past five years. He upgrades our TE position plain and simple.

I'm big on not bringing in bad character guys, but I don't see how anyone can say Crumpler is a cancer. Hes never been known as anything more then a big team leaders and one of the most respected people in the locker room. He never pops off, doesn't complain, and did his job even when the entire team was crumbling.

He is not known as a guy that can't catch. I have no idea where that came from. He drops two passes against us two years ago, big deal. He has good hands for a TE and is a great route runner.
