Loomis time is up too, or should be.

He was never a true football guy. He's admin. business man and always took his cue's from the coach. Gives lots of leash and tries to give the coach what he wants. He was no check on Payton's worst instincts with the defense. No counterweight like a Jim Finks would have been. I mean, when Allen wanted DeShaun Watson Loomis was trying to make it happen...

Completely agree, he should have the decency to step away and retire. He only works as an NFL GM when you have an ‘do it all’ coach. Unfortunately the ego in him means he won’t. Hope I’m proven wrong.

Sean Payton is the greatest head coach in New Orleans Saints history. End of. I find it embarrassing that some fans try to pretend he’s no loss.

To say you don’t miss him is a lie borne out of delusion and a very misguided sense of jealousy. Yes he quit on us, but look at the current shambles and ask yourself why.

Regardless of 7-9 seasons. We always had an edge. You always felt like we had a chance with SP on the sidelines. Everytime I'm optimistic about our chances, I look the to sideline and see DA. My optimism goes out the window. DA is a fine DC. That's it. He's had enough games as a HC to prove us all wrong.

Thing was most of the time even in those seasons they played close games still. Every game with Brees and Payton you believed they had a shot at winning

That is probably the troubling thing. Who would want to come here? An aging roster, void of most of the key pieces on offense, a mid-level QB. Limited fire power.

We did pull a little known OC out of Dallas that reset our franchise and a banged up QB so I suppose it's possible but that seems a long way off right now.

-There is no team in the NFCS that has a long term franchise QB or superstar HC. So you’re not chasing a Mahomes, Hurts, or even Prescott. Yet.
-After a franchise QB, the greatest thing you can give a potential HC is time. And it’s been shown that every HC gets at least three seasons.
