Yea I'm with Dave, I wouldn't anymore either.

Doing my double dip tomorrow. Last year was fine - I always seemed to get a little symptomatic after the flu until recently, but I'm pretty sure that was all in my head.

I've had more reactions to flu shots than to covid boosters. People always tell me that you can't get the flu from the flu shot, but I still feel a bit miserable. I think I may have gotten a headache after one of the covid boosters but I get those a lot, so......

See that’s why I said it was in my head. But I swore I felt down after. Nothing really bad though, slight temperature.

Yeah, if I had that kind of reaction, I'd probably feel the same way. I don't do flu shots tho. At the risk of jinxing myself, I haven't had the flu in 20 something years. Knock on wood.

Had a pretty typical reaction to the Rona shots. If I were to get a flu shot, I wouldn't be inclined to get them at the same time, but idk. Guess it depends.

I do one vaccine at a time, myself. That way I know which one is the culprit if I have side effects, and I worry that the combination might cause issues like an allergic reaction. Like for example, I am fine taking aspirin, but if I combine it with an antihistamine I have an allergic reaction (hives, etc.).

Anyway, I got the flu shot on Thursday. A bit of a sore shoulder for a day was all... no other side effects.
 
I had the double last Wednesday; turns out I was able to get it here because, while it's now limited to people over 65, or who have conditions which make them vulnerable, you can also get it if you're caring for someone who's particularly vulnerable, which I am.

I was just going to get the COVID vaccine, but they offered to give me the flu one as well and I figured I might as well while I was there. No problems. COVID arm was a bit more sore than the flu arm, and I was a bit tired that day and the next, that was it.

It's still nuts that most people under 65 can't get the Covid vaccine in the UK though. Anecdotally, there seem to be quite a few people I know having a bad time with it at the moment on Facebook, etc.

Yea, this is the first conspiracy theory that seems to have hooked my mom. She texted me last week pleading with me to turn my phone off at that time, just in case.

I told her unequivocally that not only would I not turn my phone off, I absolutely would not be participating in any conspiracy theory delusions she brought to me in the future. I told her that she's playing with fire and she needed to stop reading things on facebook before it turns her brain to mush. She said "I'm not crazy," and I said "No, not yet you're not. But if you keep this up, you will be."

I'm not losing my mom to the conspiracy theory nutjobs if I can help it.

If they could do this through cell phones, why do it through a FEMA "broadcast" and not just at a random time when people least expect it?

If you know the FB pages she's getting this info from report them. My personal experience with FB says they
are doing a good job of removing false and misleading info.

got both the covid booster and flu shot yesterday

other than my arm being a bit sore no effects

weird that the only shot I had any reaction to was the first one

zero problems with any of the boosters after that
