You'd think they'd focus on spending that cash more on help for McNabb, like Moss or someone. They're secondary is much better than their receivers.

That seems absurd on a number of counts.Well the rumor floating around the net is that they will sign Asante and then trade Lito to the Cardinals for Fitzgerald. The rumored contract to Asante is 5 year 55 million with 22 guaranteed. Makes sense at first but Fitzgerald is due to make 16 million this year. Asante is only an upgrade over Lito because he doesn't have the injury concerns. This means the Eagles would be paying out a third of their entire salary cap to two players. Plus Fitzgerald is on the final year of his contract. The only way I see this happening is if Fitzgerald negotiates a new contract with Philly or renegotiates his old deal, something he refused to do for Arizona.
Just seems like a far fetched scenario.
I've seen Eagles boards saying that the Pats are really after Lito :dunno:
I also don't get why they would break the bank on Samuel when they already have Lito and a pretty good secondary. Don't get it.
Vilma does not phase me as I don't care who is on our IR.
