ATT ( U-Verse , Direct TV Now)Removes NFL Network (1 Viewer)

When Directv refused to carry TheBlaze TV channel, I stopped caring what they did. You shouldn't allow your nutty political leanings to dictate what people get to see, and they had plenty of interest.
DirecTV didn't pick up TheBlaze because it wasn't a profitable addition. Same reason why pretty much only Dish and FiOS did, and FiOS dropped the channel pretty soon thereafter. Seeing as DirecTV has a dedicated 24 hour Scientology channel going, I think your declaration of political bias is probably a stretch.

Does anyone have knowledge of the ESPN+ streaming service? Is this like the WatchESPN but for folks that don't have a cable subscription? It is $4.99 a month looks like and would service me for the football season if I get rid of YoutubeTV.

I have it. You basically get a few more games, but no extra NFL games. They do have extra MLB games along with non UFC PPV events. Also all the 30 For 30s are there with a few original shows.

If you noticed, the article is about NFL Sunday Ticket likely being re-negotiated.

This is a tactic in negotiations. Getting people alarmed about missing the product, or another part of it, to strengthen their hand, to charge a ton more for Sunday Ticket (in their contract, which will translate to a larger bill for consumers).

I’m curious to see which hard head ATT or The Clown Network caves in first. But you are right this will lead to higher rates when deal is done.

Only other option is to contact local Congress person? FCC?

Unless there was a Saints game or draft I never watched it anyway. Saints have no picks that make me want to watch the draft, and as far as giving money to the clown for Sunday ticket nope not going to happen

NFL Network is useless to me anyway. And I dumped Directv back in November of 2017. The only thing they were useful for was the Thursday Night games, but I only care about the Saints and WDSU or WWL has aired the Thursday night games every year for the past few years, making NFLN totally irrelevant to me.

I guess if you actually watch their programming other than games, you may miss it. But you can get the same quality of content from ESPN or FS1. They're all equally as awful.

Bought a house w/the Direct TV dish, NO intention of EVER connecting it(want it removed actually).
I watch NO SPORTS, other than the Saints, no other NFL, no pro or college sports(except maybe curling!!!!)! That breaks down into about 15 games per year not available here. I have the Mohu Leaf, have direct line of sight to the 10k' peak where the towers are & still have crappy reception. Not that that would affect the games shown. We gave up on TV for the most part(I don't seem to be suffering except during Saints games!). The only thing that pisses me off more than EXORBITANT cable fees is going to a bar full of strangers to watch the game on a small side screen & paying ridiculous prices for substandard food/booze/atmosphere!

The NFL Network I have seen almost gave me whiplash it changes so fast! I have simple tastes, I just want to watch the Saints! Is that so much to ask? We are inundated w/Dallas/Denver fans, makes ya throw up in your mouth!(You'll NEVER see other NFCS gear though!).
We now have over an handful of NM Saints fans here on SR!! MUY BUENO!(That & my family make a lot of noise!)

WHO DAT!!

This is what I was thinking also. The Thursday night games are also on Amazon Prime, so I don't really have a need for NFL network.

So in closing, the nfl network is POOP!

I don't know about that. Some people want to see top 10 lists on the greatest player to wear a certain number, but I don't think I want to pay anything for that. I think the NFL Network has overvalued itself and they should make sure its on as many cable/dish/streaming services as possible. Unless they have exclusive games, I don't think a lot of people will go out of their way to get it.

In December I'm saying goodbye..I've been with Direct since 2003. I got it just for the Sunday Ticket. But their prices keep going up and up and up. I would say bye now but when I upgraded they signed me up into a 2 year contract. So, once that comes up I'm out!

My friend recently said bye to his cable company and went to youtube TV. He pays 40 a month and can get Sunday Ticket on there.

That's where I'm headed.

Do you know he gets the ticket on there? Is it an option? Seriously thinking about cutting the cord soon
