Beerman Returns!!!! (1 Viewer)

Wooo-hooo!!! This is going to be special! Congrats to The Beerman. Take it to da house, Michael.

Lance Moore was released and is expected to be placed on the practice squad.

I thought that once someone was on the active squad they couldn't be placed on the practice squad. Or am I thinking of something else.

Glad Beerman's back, though.

Of all games to miss,I had to miss the
Return of the BEERMAN!!!!

DAMN!!!!

"YES!!!!"

...is what I yelled when I opened this thread. My wife wanted to know what I was so excited about, when I responded: "On the SR.com board..." she interrupted "Oh, football, figures." I shouldn't complain to much she does buy me a gift card for the sports bar I watch the games at every year.

Anyway, glad Lewis is back. Go Saints!

Not only can I not wait to see him return his first Kickoff beyond the 30 and have the crowd going nuts...BUT...let's not forget the impact he makes on Special Teams as a tackler. Lewis always seemed to be the first one down the field to stop their players from getting beyond the 25.

I'm hoping he can make an immediate impact. His legs are fresh and if all the rumors were true....Lewis has been 100% for awhile and just waiting for the deadline to be activated.

Geaux Saints!

Saints 24
Ravens 13

I was thinking that Jamal would be the one released. I guess it goes to show that tackling is a valuable skill for a WR to have.

Kenny Wilkerson just reported that Michael Lewis has been activated and will be returning kick offs today. Also, the kick return team will be announced before the game with Lewis being the final player introduced.

Another reason for the fans in the Dome to go crazy.

Geaux Beerman!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know if this was one of coach Payton's ideas to make Michael the final player introduced,... but no matter who made the call, it is a stroke of genius!

It is a GREAT way to get the emotion started early! A few good returns by Lewis could really get the special teams excelling on the field once again.

Nothing like building confidence in the return game! :9:

lewis still makes me nervous. hopefully he will provide a spark to our kick return team. moore and stecker haven't produced much.

any info if he is just playing special teams or is it possible he will be in on the offense as well?

It depends on how much he praticed on the KO coverage team.Beerman will probably just be used to return KO's and maybe at a WR decoy going long. But who knows what kind of plan Coach Payton has brewing for Micheal.

Yeah I bet the dome goes nuts when they introduce him Payton is written all over that one. 2 or 3 false starts some missed assignments maybe even a turnover can come from that. In a close game it can be the difference between winning or losing.

Lance Morre was released, since he has only been active for 4 games in his career (I believe that # is correct) he is still eligible to be placed on the practice squad, as long as he clears waivers first.
