Best one two punch at receiver on same team in the history of the NFL? (1 Viewer)

Jerry Rice and John Taylor used to tear us a new one all the time, but it’s hard to pass Swann & Stallworth.

Top 5:
1. Swann & Stallworth
2. Rice & Taylor
3. Carter & Moss
4. Rice & Owens
5. Duper & Clayton

Bruce and Holt were damn good.

Dang. Good catch on Owens. Missed him too.
And yup. Missed Bruce and Holt as well. Agreed.

Joe Horn and Donte Stallworth!! I thought they were gonna be up there, but Stallworth never lived up to immense potential.

Truly though ours is probably Eric Martin and Quinn Early

I was thinking the same. That would be my top two sets as well, for us.

Ike Bruce and Tory Holt? Ochocinco and TJ Whosyourmama? Maybe not the best ever EVER but for a year or two these guys were as hard to defend as anybody in their era. Sproles and Jimmy Graham for a couple years were pretty indefensible as well, if we can move away from just WR pairs.

Charlie Joiner and Kellen Winslow.

While Winslow was a TE in the Air Coryell system he ran receiver routes.

From the "Air Coryell" Wiki page "Former head coach Jon Gruden called Winslow the first "joker" in the NFL. He could line up unpredictably in any formation from a three-point stance as a blocker to a two-point stance or being in motion as a receiver. "

Rod Smith and Ed McCaffrey and Jimmy Smith and Keenan McCardell weren’t bad

Jefferson, Joiner, and Winslow all had over 1000 yards one season. First time that had happened.

I might be biased but seeing Rice and Taylor torched us every time we play them, I have to put them on top of my list. John Taylor, has got to be the most forgotten and underrated receiver in modern history. John Taylor caught the winning touchdown in a Super Bowl. He had the second best single game receiving yards. He took us out of the playoffs in 1988 in the second to last game. However if you ask any young person about John Taylor, they would probably say "who?".
