Best one two punch at receiver on same team in the history of the NFL? (1 Viewer)

Before the first click of the mouse, my first choice is Rice and Taylor. And to think Taylor mainly returned punts his first two seasons.

Behind them, I'd say Swann/Stallworth and Duper/Clayton.

Hate to mention the Falcons, but Andre Rison/Michael Haynes & Cliff Branch/Fred Blitenekoff,

2001-2003 Oakland Raiders had Jerry Rice, Tim Brown and Jerry Porter!

Fears and Crazy Legs (should be very close to the top of the list)
Think how awesome these two were. They had 2 QBs splitting snaps and yet rolled up 2k yards in what was only a 12 game season back then. There is a reason the Saints hired Tom Fears as a coach and I dont think it was his coaching prowess. In 1951 in their season opener against the NY Yanks Elroy had 9 catches for 4 TDs 173 Yds and Fears had 7 catches for 162 yds. Van Brocklin passed for 554 yds and 5 TDs with an additional 160 yds rushing from the backfield. Tom also had 6 XPs (kicks)

Biletnikoff and Branch

Mac Speedie and Dante Lavelli
Otto had a 5.5 TD % in 1950 when he won the Title over the aforementioned Rams. Lavelli is in the HoF some say Speedie was the better of the two.

Bobby Mitchell and Charley Taylor

Jefferson, Joiner, and Winslow all had over 1000 yards one season. First time that had happened.
Jefferson and Joiner were the best pair of Air Coryell WRs but Chandler/Joiner were good enough to include on the list.

Like many being mentioned, they were an outstanding tandem for a brief period of time. I actually remember rooting for the Chargers in some of my early memories of watching football as a young kid. So I remember all the names of the near-great Coryell era in S.D. You might has well well make that reference a trio, as Chandler basically replaced Jefferson. (Neither player deserved to be moved out of their original teams, but of course stuff happens!) In the strike-shortened '82 season, which was the last of Coryell's teams to be in the playoffs, Chandler had over 1,000 yards receiving in just nine games.

Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns had a season (2016) where they seemed like they were probably one of the best duos in the NFL. Imagine if someone other than Bortles had been throwing the ball. But then I go look at the actual stats from that year and it wasn't as great as I seem to remember.

Because Jacksonville

Hard to beat Moss & Carter. One guy could take it to the house on any given down and the other was the prototypical possession receiver who had total mastery of his craft.

Rice & Owens were great as well but Rice was past his prime and TO wasn't the player he would become.

Well as much I dislike giving love to the Falcons, just most recently we had 2 Hall of Famers playing together with Julio Jones and Tony Gonzalez, and throw in Roddy White for a little extra bonus too
