Best one two punch at receiver on same team in the history of the NFL? (2 Viewers)

Drew Pearson and Tony Hill each had 1,000 yards in '79.

But I think those Cowboys combinations are well down the list. The Steelers and Chargers had better receivers - and then the Jerry Rice era emerged.

I have not seen Herman Moore and Brett Perriman. I don’t know where or even they would be ranked in the top 10, but I do think they need some recognition.

A few more than should be on the list

Flipper Anderson/Henry Ellard
Andre Reed/James Lofton
Jerry Rice/Terrell Owens

can't believe took so long to mention Harrison/Wayne.. Can't believe the buffalo duo of Andre Reed/Eric Moulds.. our Reed and Price. Price was so good in Buffalo, Atlanta thought he would make a sure #1 and never panned out.

Moss & Welker (and Stallworth)
Jimmy Smith & Keenan McCardell
Julio & Roddy
Rice & Tim Brown

Looking at running back tandems, I know they had better ones like whoever played with Jim Brown lol. Or the Steelers and Dolphins backfields. All those were past my prime.

My favorite tandems at running back were

Raiders: Bo Jackson & Marcus Allen (poor Bo! I think he would of went down as the best to ever play had he not got injured. I loved Bo. After Michael Jordan, he was my favorite athlete back then. BO KNOWS!! Allen was a beast too)

Bucs: Warrick Dunn & Mike Alstott (I loved those Buc teams back then. Loved the local small guy Warrick Dunn and the big bruiser Alstott. Loved that defense too with Sapp, Brooks, Lynch, Barber, Rice, & Bugga)

We had some decent ones as well. If Deuce & Ricky would of played more than a couple seasons together they could of been one of the best. Dalton Hilliard and Rueben Mayes were likely the best one. Dalton and Iron Head were sweet as well. Deuce & Reggie, but like Ricky didn’t play that long together. Pierre Thomas & Reggie Bush as well PT & Darren Sproles. Then Ingram, PT, & Sproles were a sweet trio. And now with Mark Ingram & Alvin Kamara, but I don’t see them playing long enough together to qualify.

Dang,
Surprised I forgot Reed and Lofton. And I watched those 4 straight Super Bowl appearances they made too. I definitely should have had them on there.

Andre Hastings was an amazing high school recruit. When he was recruited to UGA out of HS he was projected to be an All Pro we by his 2nd year in the NFL.

Man, how many players have we had on this roster with that level of potential? I think of Ronald Powell as one.

Joe Horn and Donte Stallworth!! I thought they were gonna be up there, but Stallworth never lived up to immense potential.

Truly though ours is probably Eric Martin and Quinn Early
Would love to have seen a healty, young Horn paired up with 12 for awhile too.

These WR threads got me to thinking about who in my opinion were the best one two punch at WR on any team, including Saints.....in history.
For me the ones that come to mind:
Mark Duper and Mark Clayton
Jerry Rice and John Taylor (that one hurts, hated them but recognize the talent)
Art Monk and Gary Clark
And if we are going full stable, the oilers with:
Drew Hill
Haywood Jeffires
Ernest givens
Curtis Duncan.
What say you? Who am I missing? Surely many.

Issac Bruce and Torry Holt came right to mind as well as Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison
