I'm working out the numbers on a generator this year. With storm activity we'll need to be prepared. I don't expect to run central AC. But i do require a bidet in the event of societal breakdown.

Hurricanes are always a threat, but IMO there is a far more potentially cataclysmic event that could cause “societal breakdown” this Fall, and that is the sh**show otherwise called the “United States Presidential Election”….. I am fully expecting sh** to go totally sideways no matter the outcome… Hope I am wrong !

So around when I was thinking of getting one, my older son got one for my wife for her birthday (he has one in his college apartment and became a convert). My wife has been slow to warm up to it, but I've become quite the fan, just took a couple of days to get used to the cold blast. I just ordered two more to put in the other bathrooms.

That said, I'm a little leery about when we get to the winter months.

Go big and get an electric model with heated water and heated seat.
