I got the full excerpt from Barnwell and I explain how the Saints should operate in regards to this matter. Enjoy!!!

In a division in which the Texans and Titans have made major wide receiver investments this offseason, adding a veteran option across from Tyson Campbell makes sense for the Jags, who have extra picks in Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2025 draft after trading down with the Vikings last month. Sending a fourth-rounder to the Saints would clear up a financial and positional logjam for New Orleans and land an immediate plug-and-play starter at a position of need for Jacksonville.”

I would want both a 3rd and 4th for Latt or no deal

Even then you can probably find a better deal elsewhere

ya i say 2nd or no deal. guys a top 5 corner and still young.

I doubt, especially a Loomis led deal, we get a 2 for him. Loomis normally gets fleeced on this type of trade. He is going into his 8th season and has missed half of the last 2 seasons. Leverage isnt exactly on our side either.

Id be shocked if we get a 3 and a 4. Id rather a serviceable guard or DT and a 4. Too many holes on this roster to keep 4 starting CBs.

I want 3 first rounders and an All-Pro LT or no deal.

But seriously this is like the SP trade all over again. We're need to curb our expectations of trade compensation for Latt at this point. Anything more than a third rounder would be a steal for us.

Did we get fleeced for Jimmy Graham?

Normally does not equal 100%. Comprehension is a lost art.

Do me a favor and ignore me. I still see your responses when you quote me even ignoring. We would be better off that way.

A 3rd and a young prospect / project TE is what was traded for Jaylen Ramsey... that's the rate for Lattimore. That price can go up if a team has injuries and is desperate... That price can go down if ML is a malcontent, or has an injury... but the Ramsey deal is the baseline.

His market value is akin to what the Rams got for Jalen Ramsey, about a 3rd round pick. Since Latt has greater history of injuries than Ramsey had when he got traded, it may even be a 4th rounder.

That's what the market is.

So when we trade him for a 4th that can conditionally be upgraded to a third, Loomis did't get "fleeced," that's what Latt's trade market is.

I don't think we ever really got fleeced in recent trades.

Chauncey netted us a 5th for a player we were going to cut and then got cut by the Eagles.

The 2022 trade got us 2 first round picks and cost us the 1st next year and a 2nd in 2024 - that's the price of business and who knew it would be a top 10?

The Sean Payton pick was good for us considering it would have been nothing the next year. So getting a first was great!

What trades have we gotten the shaft on?

The word fleeced only gets thrown around based on the person using the word feeling as though they know the actual trade value.

Why does everyone want to trade Lattimore?

Idk, as Loomis said..the offer would have to absolutely blow me away. IE someone would need to be willing to overpay.
