Body Cleanse.... do you believe in it? (1 Viewer)

Look, I taking the stuff. I could care less if you want to. I trust that everybody here has their opinion. This is what I happen to believe.

It is amazing how negatitive this board is. Sure it could have been done another way. Sure you may not need it. I was actually looking for some encouragement but that has been few and far between.

Sorry, man I just don't believe you.

The title of the thread indicates that you wanted opinions about a product. Several poster, including many who are in the medial and biological fields (experts) gave you their opinion that it's a racket.

You never claimed that you were looking for "encouragement," you were soliciting advice. Encouragement and advice are two different matters.

And I don't believe that you could care less about whether I believe the effectiveness of this product or not.

It's so patently clear that you have some sort of vested interest (financial or otherwise) in the success or perception of this product, or else you wouldn't be so stubborn and not open to the possibility that this product and its marketing is a complete scam.

If you were truly interested in advice, opinion, or reaction in whether or not this product works, or whether or not you should purchase it, you wouldn't be copying and pasting spam -infomercial type answers to questions or issues raised by others in this thread. Additionally, I think you wouldn't be so defensive about the questions or criticisms individuals have raised in this thread regarding the validity of this product and/or its effectiveness. If you were truly seeking advice or counsel from others about this product, I would assume you would be more amenable to those who claim they smell a scam--in fact, I would be grateful if I were planning to spend hard-earned money on this product.

So you either relish in being parted from his money from a possible racket, or you're connected in some way to the marketing or selling this product. There's no other way to explain your insistence that this product "works" despite your claim of just soliciting information or opinions and your subsequent reaction to those who are skeptical.

Additionally, I think you've tried to mask your slick marketing technique by laughing and going along with all the poo jokes, but I think most smart rational people don't believe the information your cutting and pasting, and have figured out what you're trying to accomplish here.

I would be in favor of locking this thread down, but I think nobody is fooled here, and its entertainment value with the poo jokes is good stuff--along with you trying to hoodwink otherwise a group of very intelligent posters who can see through this nonesense.

Keep the Poo coming! It is truely sad how much attention to this bunch of poo I have paid.

Long live Mr. Hankey!!!!!

Look I am not promoting this stuff and have no interest in the company.
Look, if you are perfectly health, eat right and feel you don't need it, yea it's a joke. I on the other hand, thought I could use what this product says it does. I am 48 am 5'10'' and weight 205lbs. I take blood pressure meds and cholesterol meds. In the past 4 weeks I have decided to make a change in what I put in my mouth. I am eating only Organic Foods and drinking bottled water in addition to the cleanse. I no longer eat fast foods.

I am answering the questions that are put to me as best I can.
All answers are my own. Some of you want to know the specific toxins I'm trying to get rid of. I don't have proof of toxins in my system. But there happens to be a host of unnatural things (pesticides and preservatives are just some) that are in the food we eat and water we drink. Do doctors test for pesticides or preservatives in the blood or other organs? Do they even exist? The real question that needs to be answered is when these toxins are expelled, what long term effect does it have on the body?

All I can do is tell you what the product intends to do.
The reason I sound like an ad for the company is I'm sure you haven't studied the site so I've told you what it says. You can accuse me of paraphrasing, but I'm not cutting and pasting to promote any site. If you think this product is a TOTAL SCAM then you won't believe ANYTHING on their site or that at least, you will continue to think I've over paid for something I don't need. FINE.

I confess, I'm not a scientist.
Still, if you purchased a product, you have to trust that the stuff works to some degree. Since many of you believe that all the testimonials on this site is at best bogus, I've decided to make myself the Guinea pig and be a live testimonial that you can verify. This is why I've made my daily posts as to what's happening. If you don't care, I don't care. Sorry I didn't read all the negative anti cleanse posts and decide to just give up and send it all back. I didn't purchase it for that. Thank you all for telling me I've been scammed and I appreciate your opinions. Really I do. I knew there was a possibility of me being scammed because this information exists all over the INTERNET. Still, this cleanse was different from almost all the others, and I still hope to get something out of my $150.

Well at least I know one thing is working.
I have been having poor sleep sometimes lying in bed until 5 AM in the morning. I usually average 4-5 hours a night. I was going to ask my doctor for a pill. Well the KleriTea Herbal Tea (part of the cleanse) is supposed to help you sleep. Well guess what, it does. I haven't slept this good in months. Today I almost slept threw when I was supposed to get up. Imagine that. Just tea for good sleep. No narcotic. No drugs. Nothing to get addicted to. No hangover. Is this all in my head? NO.

Some thing else that's working for me...
I was blocked up. Bad. I haven't been totally regular for a really long time. This is a fact. I thank you people for pointing out that it could have be done a cheaper way. Now I've had regular movement everyday and some days 3 times, WOW! The supplement pills that I'm taking has helped me break my addiction to diet soft drinks and my sugar addiction is way down. I can't explain it and it all may be in my head but I don't CRAVE IT. I used to not be able to live with out it. My body wanted it. Now it seems it has what it needs so the CRAVINGS ARE GONE.

For anybody that wants to believe
what I have to say, well... the jury is still out. I have made no firm assessment other than to say that my sleep is better and I'm regular. I haven't seen anything like the horror poops posted on the site. I have notice major change in the color of my stools which are about the same gold you see bordering this site and they are covered with white specs (day 3 on) that I have never seen before. I haven't lost weight in fact I have gained weight (2lbs).

A world about toxins in the food we eat.
There are over 15,000 toxic chemicals that are allowed to be added to the food without being listed on the label. Many are designed to keep you addicted to the food and to make you fat. - Kevin Trudeau

Ever wondered why that Oreo is calling you?
Pick your poison. Maybe it's not Oreos. Is there an answer? I personally dare anybody to read any of Kevin Trudeau's books. Not so much for the natural cures, but more importantly the indictment he makes about the big food companies putting chemicals in the food to make it addictive. He goes on to talk about the unnatural preservatives in the food that gives it a longer shelf life. He talks about how the food is stripped of its nutritional value and chemically altered. He talks about what happens long term to all of this junk in our bodies. He talks about how the food industry is making us fat and know it, much like Big Tobacco knew that cigarettes caused cancer. In an effort to increase their profits, they have sold out the American people.

He goes on to really rip the drug companies and exposes
many conflicts of interest in the way the drugs are tested by the FDA. He goes on to say that Cancer, Diabetes and Heart Disease are so profitable that the Drug Companies have no interest in curing these diseases, and that any drug cure would immediately be bought up and hidden from the public. Remember, there is more money in the long term treatment of these diseases and with out them, Trillions of dollars would be lost and millions directly in indirectly put out of business by any cure. Congress is so afraid of this fact and so well paid off by lobbyists that they are helpless to do anything. Well I guess we all have to die.

Sadly, any natural cures or treatments will be ridiculed, discredited and any person pushing such treatment ridiculed, discredited at personally attracted but these Trillion Dollar Corporations with the FDA spear heading the witch hunt.

Remember, Kevin Trudeau book is shocking and eye opening.
This book has sold millions of copies and was on the best seller list. Kevin is not a doctor and does not claim to be. He says he was an insider and is now exposing these truths about the food and drug industry. I dare any medical professional to read it and not come away with a different outlook on what he is saying about what is happening in America.

His first book is the best and you can get it for FREE!
Natural Cures "They" don't want you to know about. - Kevin Trudeau Author
I promise I'm not on his payroll, and this book is a fantastic read.

UPDATE DAY 8.
Nothing Frightening. Same gold stool. Will we ever get to the really bad stuff?

I could write a shocking and eye opening book too. It doesn't have to be true.

FYI, there is no really bad stuff.

Go ahead and write it. It still doesn't change what he says. You can't dispute some of the things he says as true. Read the book and then tell me why are Americans so FAT compared to every other country? Is it because we eat more or are the foods we eat making us fat.

Have you seen the movie "Super Size Me?" This movie is a documentary in which a man ate at McDonalds everyday. His results were shocking. I advise everybody to rent it. This food is designed to be cheap, is chemically altered and can be addictive. I was addicted to if for months back in the 1980s and gained 20 pounds myself.

Before launching this experiment, Spurlock, age 33, was healthy and slim, standing at 6 feet 2 inches tall with a body weight of 185.5 lb (84.1 kg). After thirty days, he gained 24.5 lb (11.1 kg), a 13% body mass increase, and his Body Mass Index raised from 23.2 (within the 'healthy' range of 19-25) to 27 ('overweight'). He also experienced mood swings, sexual dysfunction, and nearly catastrophic liver damage. It took Spurlock fourteen months to lose the weight he gained.

The film opened in the U.S. on May 7, 2004, and grossed a total of $28,548,087 worldwide, making it the 7th highest grossing documentary film.

Switching to a healthy diet is a smart move.

I hope you still plan to have proper colon cancer screening done relatively soon if you haven't already. I've had one direct relative prevent colon cancer thanks to proper screening and another experience it by avoiding screening. Cleanse products certainly aren't a replacement for proper cancer checks from a real doctor.

A couple of books that are excellent reads:

Few can talk with more personal authority about the range of human beliefs than Michael Shermer...Shermer has five basic answers to the implied question in his title: for consolation, for immediate gratification, for simplicity, for moral meaning, and because hope springs eternal. He shows the kinds of errors in thinking that lead people to believe weird (that is, unsubstantiated) things, especially the built-in human need to see patterns, even where there is no pattern to be seen.

Scientific error, says Robert Park, "has a way of evolving ... from self-delusion to fraud. I use the term voodoo science to cover them all: pathological science, junk science, pseudoscience, and fraudulent science." In pathological science, scientists fool themselves. Junk science refers to scientists who use their expertise to befuddle and mislead others (usually juries or lawmakers). Pseudoscience has the trappings of science without any evidence. Fraudulent science is, well, fraud--old-fashioned lying.

Park is well-acquainted with voodoo science in all its forms. Since 1982, he has headed the Washington, D.C., office of the American Physical Society, and he has carried the flag for scientific rationality through cold fusion, homeopathy, "Star Wars," quantum healing, and sundry attempts to repeal the laws of thermodynamics. Park shows why a "disproportionate share of the science seen by the public is flawed" (because shaky science is more likely to skip past peer review and head straight for the media), and he gives a good tour of recent highlights in Voodoo. He has a rare ability to poke holes compassionately, without excoriating those taken in by their fondest wishes. Park is less forgiving of scientists (especially Edward Teller) when he thinks they've fallen down on the job, a job that should include helping the public separate the scientific wheat from the voodoo chaff.

Thanks, I might have that done. After all, I look at this as a two prong approach. Change my eating and drinking habbits and also trying to do some thing natually to help boost my immune system.

After all, I want to live to see the Saints in the Superbowl.
Oh no, there's that bowl word again. :covri:

Hey, that guy is smart. Not because of his groundbreaking research, but because he made money off the fact that people will pay money to learn obvious things. No one eats 3 big mac super size extra value meals a day. If they do, they deserve to be fat. You can fry up 3 double meat burgers with cheese and fattening condiments at your house and a big pile of french fries and then wash them down with a gigantic bottle of coke 3 times a day and you're still gonna get fat.

I lost 30 pounds while eating fast food just about every day. McDonalds, Raising Canes, Popeyes, you name it. What I did was get the small burger, not the double quarter pounder, and the SMALL fries, and a diet coke, or instead of getting 6 chicken fingers and a huge portion of fries I got 3 chicken fingers and a small portion of fries. It's called common sense.

Report on Kevin Trudeau.
I would expect that this piece of journalism (ABC) would have nothing good to say about his book or Kevin, and it doesn't disappoint in that regard. I personally don't believe that his book really offers many natural cures but instead promotes a healthier lifestyle. Most of this was taken way out of context from what the book actually says.

Consider, I'm sure ABC gets million of dollars in advertising from drug companies ads which he is calling out. Why would they want to say anything good about him? Do they want to peeve that big of an advertiser? Give that fact alone I would suspect this review of him is one sided. This is why they do not reference the first 4 chapters of his book which has nothing to do with natural cures and has everything to do with the indictment of the food and drug industries.

One doctor states that only 10% of his book is actual fact. Well over 40% of the book is spent on exposing the food and drug companies. Any doctor that might agree with him or that is referenced in his book doesn't want to have that lobby breathing down their necks too. Only about 20% of the book deals with natural remedies. The other 40% of the book is pure fluff as it repeats itself over and over.

Automatically discredits you. I understand some of your arguments, but quoting Kevin Trudeau (a well documented fraud), won't help your argument.

Yep. I agree. Just putting this stuff out there for discussion.
My wife ordered his books recently about his new diet he is pushing and got 2 of his books for free. I think she paid around $50. Not bad considering she got 3 books. :_rofl:

Many swear by his books and other do not.
I'm kind of caught in between because some of the stuff is pretty much common sense. It seems that the whole medical industry is against this book regardless and it is obvious to see why. I think the one thing that is most wrong with his first book is that he tells people to "get off all prescribed prescription drugs". Anybody that would do that is just plain stupid. I still take mine although I know that the cholesterol statin drug is killing my liver. Still, I don't want to die of heart disease. I do believe that there are some things you can do to help assist your immune system in functioning at its best. That is the only way this book should be taken.
