BOOGER MCFARLAND (1 Viewer)

Booger is the worst announcer I've heard in ten years at the NFL level.

He's a walking cliche machine and wears his biases on his sleeve.

"These are valuable reps for Jacoby Brissett"....no, throwing short passes against prevent in a blowout are not valuable reps for a guy who's been in the league half a decade. It's like he thought Brissett was a rookie.

Him trying to call out people who think the Colts will look for another QB was also dumb. I've got news for Booger, but what some coach tells you in the middle of the season about his current starting QB is not gospel. The Colts are absolutely going to draft someone to compete.

Someone catches a pass? "And that's how you catch a pass, you use your hands and bring it into your body"...and I'm only a little joking on that one.

Then to start fluffing Brady in the middle of Brees breaking the record was garbage. No league in sports counts postseason stats, especially the NFL because it's such a team game. Tom Brady does not have more TDs because that's not how it works.

1.) If he feels Brady is better he's entitled to that opinion. That is the opinion of pretty much anybody that isn't a Saints fan.
2.) Although ticky tack, TQS did push off. I don't think it should have been flagged, but he did push off. Take the homer glasses off
3.) All announcers are biased especially former players. Nothing new here.
4.) He's better than Witten and some others. I don't dislike him, he's just not the best. Like Strief, it takes time to get good at a job like that if you aren't a natural for it.

That's a lot of excuses for a guy who is universally regarded around the league as bad at his job.

Keep in mind...some of these former players get these major broadcast Co host gigs by kissing a certain buttock on air.....booger is that type...trust me.

It starts when they first start out on the low level network shows. Some pick up on it (kiss nicely) and they learn the game, what to say and how to say it.

You got guys like Romo who just has that IT immediately and you can put him on the big shows fast, guys like Irvin who has that IT but it's only for the Cowboys lol.

Then there are kiss ups like booger who will never say anything bad against New England, Brady, he'll always side with the commissioner, he'll always side with the refs unless it's against New England...etc

Agreed. But the timing of giving the opinion could have been deflected like this: "aw man, Tess. Yeah. It's hard to put anyone over Brady, and I would have that debate another time because it's really interesting, but I don't want to take away from what this man has accomplished here tonight. And I love fried fish."

Not wanting a questionable flag to disrupt a record breaking play, which was a pretty incredible and rewatchable play that would have gone down in history is not wearing homer glasses. By any stretch.

True, but Booger even got the "Creole vs Cajun" designation wrong (south part of the state verses the north? I mean seriously?) I don't mind him in most cases, but good lord, dude. You're from Louisiana.

I think that Booger is actually pretty natural when speaking, but he fixates on stupid and ill informed data and just parrots it too often. The "Brissett is still a young quarterback" narrative as an example. Dude's 27, which is the same age as Bridgewater btw, and in his 4th year. It's time to think that he's probably pretty close to what he's going to be at this point, and not some wide eyed youngster just excited for his chance to shine. I feel that he's firmly in the journeyman category.

Booger only had one good moment yesterday and that was the point when he was talking about Ms Charlene. Other than that, he has pretty much sucked all year.

I guess I deserve this for saying he was good on the sideline last year.

down 28 to 0 in the fourth quarter on the Colts still trying to run the ball "its because its what they do well" you have to stay with what you do well.

really? when there is no possibility of putting 4+ long time consuming drives together, you do it because you do it well.

brah. Brah!

1) Opinions are fine, but there's a time when expressing them may be just ill timed.
2) No, he didn't. Defender initiated contact and TQS barely touched him.
3) If announcers cannot narrate impartially, they shouldn't announce the game.
4) He's pretty damn bad... and I'm one who doesn't think Collinsworth or Aikman are as bad as people on the board say they are.

He shoved him. Although it didn't completely move him, he did.
Bias is natural. I have no problem with someone who says Tom is the GOAT. Sure he could have picked a better time to do so, but that's a part of his inexperience as an announcer.
