Booger gets paid more than enough to handle the spotlight of national tv. It’s his job to do such. Unfortunately he doesn’t deliver.

Folks on here get upset when anybody does anything but praise Drew. You can't even talk bad about him when he has a multiple interception game. I get it. But folks in the media who aren't Saints fans will likely have an opinion that doesn't jive with that of a Saints fan. It's just common sense.

The dislike of Booger on this site is not just related to this last MNF game. We have had many MNF game-time chats on this site and it's almost unanimous that Booger is not very good at his job. He is not well-prepared and most of what he says is just blather. I am sure he thinks it sounds good in his head, but somehow it is not translating to his spoken words.

Timing could have been better, but it feels like the complaints are more about folks being butt hurt that he felt Beady was the GOAT.

I get what you're saying, but.....
If anything, you have to admit Booger's comments were in poor taste.
Brees just set the all time record for most TDs and Booger feels that it was an appropriate time to voice his opinion of the greatest QB to ever play the game.
You wouldn't say something disparaging about the groom at his wedding would you? Same rule applies.
It wasn't the appropriate time nor place to express his opinion on the matter.

The timing is most certainly the issue.

I have no problem with people thinking Brady is better than Brees. He has the wins and the rings, which is a huge argument in his favor.

Back when Manning was breaking records, the announcers were respectful enough to not say, “that’s great for Manning and all, but Montana is still the best QB of all time”.

When someone is having a league changing moment, let the man have his moment. Booger chose Brees’ moment to dump all over it by reminding viewers that Brees isn’t the best QB. It’s unprofessional for an announcer to do that. Wait for the post game or next day talking head show to make the argument.

Most of us grew up listening to seasoned vets. He is not, but I believe he isn't as bad as some say. At least to me he's not.
