BOOGER MCFARLAND (2 Viewers)

Folks on here fail to see things objectively. Brees is the GOAT to me, but obviously I'm biased. I know that and accept it. Brees should be in the conversation as he has earned a seat at the table, but I know that isn't the majority opinion of him as he doesn't have the rings to battle Brady & Montana.
Contrary to your opinion, many of us are quite capable of seeing things objectively. And because we disagree with you on the definition of a "shove" and the competence Booger Mc doesn't mean our opinions are simply fan biased views. It was a blown call and Booger refused to call it what it was. And as an announcer, he has the verbal tools to be good, he states the very obvious and simply just doesn't know what to say, but keeps trying to say it anyway. It's ridiculous that he's in the MNF booth. Witten was no better.

Edit: I just reread this post and caught an interesting profanity filter change. I thought I typed "fan biased" but it read "gay biased." I phone typed the wrong last letter of "fan." Doh!

I get what you're saying, but.....
If anything, you have to admit Booger's comments were in poor taste.
Brees just set the all time record for most TDs and Booger feels that it was an appropriate time to voice his opinion of the greatest QB to ever play the game.
You wouldn't say something disparaging about the groom at his wedding would you? Same rule applies.
It wasn't the appropriate time nor place to express his opinion on the matter.
Then blame the other guy for asking the questions that forced him to answer.

I hate to do this but I’m going to ruin Monday Night football for any of you who enjoy watching it. About 4 weeks ago my brother pointed out to me how many times Booger uses the word ”really” in his commentary such really good play, really good run, really good decision. I literally cannot watch the game without waiting for the next “really.” I really (lol) like Booger as a guy but can’t take many more really’s out of his mouth. Really.

I was just telling my buddy about the Uber driver I had this morning and booger steps into the conversation to mention “Tom Brady is pretty good”...

Then blame the other guy for asking the questions that forced him to answer.

You’re becoming a bit ridiculous in your assertions. So, he was forced to answer? He couldn’t demur and say something other than what he said? Lol. Just listen to yourself. Booger isn’t good at his job. It’s okay to admit it. It is what it is. ?‍♀️

It doesn’t mean he‘s not a great guy, or that I hate him or anything.

I thought it was absolutely disrespectful to Brees. During such a historical and monumental achievement, the clown felt the need to shift away from Brees' accomplishment by forcing upon us his opinion of who he thought was the best QB. You know what, it's fine if he thinks that. I just think it was absolutely in poor taste to discuss that during that moment.

It seems that these celebrity types (sports, film, tv, internet, et al) have all been woefully undereducated on how to use publicity to interact with the public. Is their no one available to explain to them how insulting part, half, or most of said public at any given point is not the brightest thing to do? It seems to be happening in epidemic proportions. All Booger had to do was wait a little while. Congratulate Drew on his record breaking TD, then shut his flapping gums. Towards the end of the game, sometimes in the 4th quarter he could have then talked about Brady still being on the hunt for the final record and waxed eloquent about his feelings about Brady. But most of these idjits cannot figure out how or when to zip the lips!

You ever been put on the spot on live TV for something as big as an NFL game?

Really? That's your response/defense for Booger? It's part of the job. And how was he put on the spot? Going into the game he knew the circumstances around the record. His partner was aware because I don't think he came up with the "540 in the 504" at the spur of the moment.

To answer your question, no I haven't been put on the spot on live TV in an NFL game. It's because I know better than to pretend I have the skills to be an NFL color commentator, unlike Booger.

So how should have answered? Just not answer? That would have been his only choice or lie.
