They will definitely be the team to beat based on how these teams are playing right now.So far, OSU looks by far the best team out of whats left.

I’ll take a 16 team playoff series if it will eliminate Byes for any of the participants.I couldn't turn off the TV fast enough once the pandering post game stuff started.
ASU is the reason why I wouldn't want fewer than 12 teams in. Nobody would have picked them if they hadn't won their conference. Even though they lost, the proved that they belong.
Oregon is the reason that I want more than 4 teams in. Nearly everybody would have said that they're top four.
Shouldn't have more than 16 and shouldn't have fewer than 12.
Go with 16 and no byes, the dates don't need to change in that case.I couldn't turn off the TV fast enough once the pandering post game stuff started.

Dropped passes and special teams blunders should top the list.P 0 noPeople are trying to make Parker Jones the scapegoat in UGA’s loss. It was unfortunate and stupid, but far from the reason they lost.
Boise St. was the reason I want more than 4. I said it earlier. You will not convince me they were one of the 4 bestI couldn't turn off the TV fast enough once the pandering post game stuff started.

Hoping for for an Ohio State/Penn State championship game now. And Go Nittany Lions! All the remaining teams have at least a 10 year drought.
OSU has 10.
Texas has 19
Penn State has 38.
And Notre Dame been waiting 36 seasons.
Someone’s king wait is gonna end.
If there’s 16 teams there can’t be any byes … at least none that make senseI’ll take a 16 team playoff series if it will eliminate Byes for any of the participants.
Exactly! Frankly I'd also take a 16 game playoff series in the NFL (8-AFC & 8-NFC). I think it's ridiculous that one team gets a Bye every season. Yes, I realize that this would possibly put a sub .500 team in the picture some years, but I believe it's much more likely that a #8 seed in the NFL could upset a #1 seed in each conference than the same thing happening in the college ranks. 'Any Given Sunday' really does apply to the NFL. It's not that rare for some teams who sputtered early could possibly get back on track toward the end of the season and be playing as well as anyone by playoff time. In fact I would love to see some 8-9, #8 seed team mow down a 15-2, #1 seed in the playoffs. It would show teams and their fans that there is still hope even if their team had some struggles (injuries and such) during the season. For sure the NFL owners wouldn't mind the extra game and money. No doubt the players union would agree with that option. If there’s 16 teams there can’t be any byes … at least none that make sense
I would not want to see that, but I bet it would put Kelly in the hot seat. His replacement doing what he couldn’t in just a few years?I'd like to see ND win the Natty just to see everyone cry about it.
That's because the committee couldn't stack the BCS / playoff / etc with overrated SEC teams. When the SEC teams had to win their way there we saw what happened. Don't talk to me about Texas either they are not a real SEC team yet LOL.All the remaining teams have at least a 10 year drought.
